Launched once, crashed, never launched again. I'm not mad, just disappointed...

8/10
(+) Awesome visual style
(+) Catchy and upbeat music
(+) Fun and quirky dialog
(+) Unique and powerful classes
(+) Impactful and unique class/passive synergies
(+) Tons of game modifiers
(+) Heir system allows for solid progression at any point in the game
(+) Fully customizable heirs and suitors

(-) Max of 3 class abilities
(-) Frustrating enemy mutations (Looking at *you* Goopey)
(-) When everyone's crazy nobody is...

My biggest gripes with Dice Gambit are how abilities and classes are handled. Being forced to 4 abilities max (3 class abilities 1 signature) really slams on the breaks for character creativity. I would have preferred they take an approach similar to Darkest Dungeon 2 or V-Rising, where a character can learn tons of different class abilities, but can only equip max of 3 at any given time outside of an expedition. Most games in the fantasy-tactics genre encourage a player to swap classes and experiment with synergies, but Dice Gambit forces you. Once a character has mastered a class they will be unable to level up until they swap to a new, unmastered class. This is a mild annoyance more than anything.

Lastly, I would have liked a few more 'straight-shooter' characters in the game, to really emphasise how absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane the nobles are. Crazy is the norm in this game, and everybody's got a case of it.

All n all, this game is awesome, and my issues with it don't stop me from rushing home every night after work to throw more dice at techni-colored slime monsters! This is a must have for any fan of tactics-esk games, or dice RPGS!

(I have 7 hours of playtime at the time of writing this review. No idea where Steam is getting 0.3 hours on record from...)

(+) Awesome art direction
(+) Interesting classes
(+) Fun and unique mini-games during some of the quests
(+) Good story
(+) Solid action combat
(+) Parkouring around the main city is a blast

(-) Weak Multiplayer experience
(-) Undercooked raids/bosses
(-) Lots of visual noise in combat
(-) Notable Pay 2 Skip elements, and some Pay 2 Win
(-) Writting can be campy and cringe

Blue Protocol stands out as a solid anime RPG experience. It's a good alternative for people who enjoy games like Genshin Impact and Honkai, who don't like overly aggressive gatcha elements. That said, as an MMORPG it is incredibly weak. With the first few hours entirely dedicated to a singleplayer experience, and almost no encouragement to group up in parties, the game was very clearly created as an RPG first, with the MMO elements tacked on after-the-fact.

If you're looking for an entertaining romp through an anime world on your own, or with a couple of friends BPSR will scratch that itch. If you're looking for a massively multiplayer social experience you're better off with something like FFXIV, or PSO2:NGS

Really glad to have my girl Absa in the game.
I don't like the direction they took their monetization, but the core game is pretty solid.

(+) Really cool and unique visual design and art direction
(+) Lots of alarm options for the timer
(+) In depth and useful tools
(+) Really good music
(+) REALLY good music.

(-) Lack of customization
(-) Not many songs in each playlist

I have been following Blue Turtle for a while now, and seeing their creation Ithya come to life in a game of any capacity is super amazing and inspiring. It is unfortunate that this game is largely overshadowed by Spirit City, which simply has more of everything Ithya: Magic Studies has to offer. That being said, Ithya does have something Spirit City doesn’t: Both a daily AND a weekly journal. I use both games interchangeably for this reason. This game is really good at what it does, and I do whole-heartily recommend it. But without the connection to the world that comes from being a Blue Turtle fan, you just might find other games of the same type to be more appealing...

(+) Awesome visual design
(+) Solid gun play
(+) Decent amount of gun customization
(+) Bots in raid and conquest help new players learn, and help boost initial confidence
(+) Gun loadouts allow for heroes to play a diverse range of roles

(-) Music is looped poorly
(-) Neutral objectives make or break Conquest, more so than player skill
(-) Notable balance issues (There are best-in-slot valiants and weapons)
(-) Inexplicably hyper competitive community
(-) Bug exploitation is common

We have Battlefront 3 at home, and its name is Wild Assault. This is a very solid early access game that delivers a very fun battlefront experience despite only being made by a team of 20ish people. There are plenty of people complaining about the presence of bots, but I don’t mind them. They serve the same purpose as Grunts and Specters from Titan Fall. Allowing players who are not particularly skilled at the game to still contribute something to their team. I’m willing to look past most of the flaws of this underrated gem of a shooter and enjoy it for what it is. With some minor adjustments of the Neutral objectives, and a rebalance to Akaihime & Crocks abilities and weapon options, this game could stand as a very solid alternative to Battlefield/Battlefront for people needing a cheap alternative.

(+) Tons of world customization to make an experience uniquely yours.
(+) Very Nuzlocke/Custom Challenge friendly
(+) Wide variety of monsters that have a wide variety of uses both in and out of combat
(+) Surprisingly deep and enjoyable lore
(+) Survival mechanics are simple, but also non-invasive.
(+) YOU CAN PET THE DOG! (and the cat, and the dinosaur, and the plant, and the alien...thing…)

(-) Art style of the pals clashes with the art style of the world
(-) Very monotonous early game
(-) Timers on all of the major boss fights that make it difficult to enjoy the fights.

Despite Nintendo’s best efforts Palworld continues to be the best open world game with creature taming I have ever played. Each update has only made the game better than it was before, and it has both modern Pokemon and ARK Survival beaten by a country mile. I can’t wait to see more from the dev team!

(+)Lots and I do mean LOTS of options to customize your run.
(+)Every Signature Ink feels unique, and all of them feel fun to play
(+)The game's hub area is very interactive and stunning to look at
(+)A unique and breathtaking art direction
(+)Fun and interesting raids that anyone can get into and enjoy
(+)PUNS! SO MANY PUNS!

(-)Movement is extremely floaty and takes getting used to.
(-)Some visual clarity issues. Visually noisy game.
(-)Side quests can feel invasive and monotonous
(-)Vault is the best-in-slot movement option by a large margin

Most people sell this game as a roguelite, and not enough people talk about how great this game is as a horde shooter. It's a phenomenal alternative to DRG and LFD2, and it deserves a bigger playerbase than it has! It's a great pick-up-and-play game! Great with friends, great with randos, great as a solo game! This is one of the best co-op experiences on the market right now, and there are definitely not enough people talking about it!

I really wish that PSO2's classic data was the mandatory download, and NGS's data was the optional install. Or better yet, I wish we could choose one or the other. I have 0 interest in New Genesis, yet am forced to install several gigs worth of data I will never use just to play the version of PSO2 that I actually want to play. Either way, New Genesis should have been its own game. This "upgrade" to PSO2 was absurd and pointless...
