If you don't play like a god every match without premium account and premium airplanes you will not get enough silver lions to even go +- 0. Repair cost are way too high and you will not make a profit unless your team wins, you get 3+ kills and you survive the match.

Gaijin are a greedy bunch who have exploited this game for nearly 10 years. Good luk grinding to top tier without spending that fat cash.
