moment-to-moment brawling & traversal is better than some games explicitly marketed around those factors. the style is absolutely bone-deep, every little bit of the game bends towards noir/pulp/crime comic themes and aesthetics. the comic-book styled cutscenes - and the voice acting for that matter - are leaps and bounds beyond what you expect out of 2.5D shooters, genuinely enjoyable to sit through on the second or third go-around. totally recommend, waiting eagerly for the next episode
