TLDR: Game is good and beautiful, but not $70 good. Wait for all DLC and Sale


So I'm gonna start this off with I thought this was a good game. I had fun playing through it. Hell first week alone I dropped almost a full work week into it. But would I recommend this at a $70 price point, no absolutely not. Would I have wished that I waited for it to be on sale with all its DLC (when it does drop), yeah. The combat is pretty fun, I played mainly as Naoe through the majority of the game and I thought she was fun to play as, she felt good as an assassin/shinobi, but I felt like I didnt really get too much loot for her. I got Legendary Katana and ran with it. When I did play as Yaske I really enjoyed it, and personally wish I played more of him through out Act II. He felt really powerful.
Story felt very lack luster in my opinion, I did play on Canon Mode, Act II was just go kill 12 guys "in any order", but in a specific order because its level based. By the end of Act II I started to not really care about the side quests to get to the main guy I had to kill, so much so I started to skip some of the dialog to keep it moving.
Exploration felt hollow. Normally when I play an AC title I go for majority of the sync points, in Shadows, I'd go sometimes, but most of the time they were in a guarded area and just didnt feel like sneaking or fighting to get to it. I personally bought hideouts majority of the time to fast travel
Feudal Japan looked beautiful. The dynamic seasons and weather worked perfectly in my opinion. Seeing the map change from having beautiful cherry blossoms, to having a more wet and rainy feel, kept me immersed into the world.
Overall it is a good game, but I would suggest waiting for it to be on sale.

If you like grinding games and like FPS then I believe this game is for you. I've put 300 hours into the game and that is just on steam, when it was back on battlenet I sunk at least another 200 hours into the game. Some seasons are lack luster but since Beyond Light dropped I felt like there is a lot to do

I recommend this game if you like to hate yourself. I personally play this to make myself feel bad so I can something at all. Also it contributes to my gabbling habits. 10/10
