Super fun, has some slight issues due to early access but nothing that makes it unplayable.

This game is super fun. The only major complaint is the performance issues but patches are slowly fixing some of them.

The DLC is entirely optional and everything can be gotten in game with no purchases, even the digital deluxe items are obtainable in game.

Story is great, the game has some unique aspects and is very easy to get pulled into. That being said the core game play loop is rather bland with basic combat and there are parts that feel like the game has extra pathing like walls to climb up just to go right back down to just pad the time out which kills the pacing. Its very similar to the new God of War games with the combat but seaming a little more 2 dimensional where it is missing a lot of the combo mechanics.

The story of this game is outstanding and enough to get me to overlook the issues with the base combat and overly drawn out map. The story is one of the best story's i have played in a few years. I truly hope this becomes a series and they are able to bring more to the world. I absolutely love the subject matter and i feel like it does a good job explaining everything with a healthy mix of voiced lore from NPC's and for more in depth information there are plenty of collectibles and documents in the world to read. I truly hope the issues do not hold it back from getting the popularity it deserves.

TLDR: This game is a solid 7/10 while it does have some issues with combat and pacing. That being said, if this game had a better combat, less time padding, hen walking around this would easily be a 9/10 and one of my favorite games. The story alone is enough to carry this game and it is so good. I'm not sure if it is worth the full $50 but defiantly a must get when it goes on sale.
