Seriously though, 700 units sounds nice but a bit of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, hopefully it's done well. I also want to see some more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ campaign map stuff and more tech tree ♥♥♥♥.
"Dear Jason Shirley..."
ಠ益ಠ
Just to get it all out, what's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning and I step outside
And I take deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
What's goin' on?
- When asking another faction to attack a common foe, you can tell them where and when to strike
- Each new army gets a number and an emblem. Its history is recorded and tradition maintained, even if the army is wiped out (probably you can fill it with new recruits then)
- Armies now take time to build sea transports for themselves and then proceed to sail to destination (I guess a sea escort will still be necessary to protect it, but it might get rid of transporting a full stack with a single ship)
- Each culture has its own tech tree and unique agents
- Battles have more objectives than only to rout the enemy army (more control points in sieges, capturing the enemy camp or supply train in field battles)
- As Rome, you can interact with the Senate by sending your family members there or withdrawing them to act as generals
- Your poweful, but disloyal generals withdrawn from the senate might betray you and march on Rome.
- Senators can be assassinated
- You can proclaim an empire after a civil war, but you could also revert to a monarchy. (not clear if other cultures will be able to switch government types as in Empire/Napoopan)
- Diplomacy in current system (without diplomats, probably an animated leader screen as in S2)
