Dark Souls is one of the best games I have ever played. It creates that mysterious fantasy feel similar King's Quest, Metroid...Castlevania. I don't think it has an "old school" feel to it. I think that the quality of gameplay and story is just on par with some of the best games of all time, that happen to be old. I wouldn't just recommend this game I would say that it's a mandatory play for any gamer.
