Bought the base game on sale. I like it, it's fun to dink druglords in their sleep.

pretty cool.

Pros: good game. It f***ing bangs. Get some mods and it's even better.
Cons: f***k you Capcom and your anti-consumerist practices. Fix the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crashing before you release updates.

This game taught me two things:

-Djent is superior to every other music genre
-This game is f**ing amazing

So... A lot has changed since 2017 and not all of it is good.
As much as I adore this game, I personally can not stand by and watch it crash and burn. Because it is going to if it continues like this.

CASUAL: Why the hell was this feature removed? It was fine and brought actual balance to the game. They brought back quick play and more often than not, there are low level AFK players In my game and on the other team too. I can not play with my friends consistently anymore which is a bore because the move is idiotic at best. Hopefully 1.0 marketing will resolve this.

PERFORMANCE: DX11 slows the game down by at least 10 percent on 80% of hardware and this is unacceptable. If you are marketing a feature that is supossed to fix the performance and the feature breaks the game, then the feature should not be there in the first place. Screw more content and such, fix your game first. Not to mention the bloated and unresponsive menus and stuttery gameplay.

BUGS AND CHEATERS: The EV is a glitch on its own. Teleporting you around the map if you dare move while repairing. The C4 does not even work sometimes. Just does not plant at all.
I believe I am fairly skilled at the game and I do accept losses when fair. But if I get killed (and instagibbed at that) by a rapid fire FEL-IX vasilly who is LV1, I get pissed. And the spectator replay is even worse because the spinbot makes me motion sick...

BALANCE: I get that the playerbase is small but why put all the low levels on one team and all the high ones in the other? Creates a mindless steamroll of unfairness. Shuffle votes don't even shuffle at all. They don't do anything at all actually... The mercs that are the biggest hard counters to spam (which is a great issue because you think Fragger is OP but Fletcher, Proxy, Nader and Arty are balanced...) are 50K. And you can buy them with REAL MONEY too. Hell the spammiest CQC merc, Javelin, can whip out a rocket and kill you just if she wants to without even aiming.

I can most definitely NOT reccomend this game until these and many more issues in the game are addressed.

People are losing patience with you, Splash Damage, and so am I. Bad game, don't reccomend.

Edit: WELL F*CK ME THEY DID IT. One great change: everything is free and everyone gets everything so It's probably gonna be a sh*t show of spam. Outrageous fun probably. Back to reccomended.

So look, Valve, why? You know that CS has problems with the playerbase, and player number is not one of them. We can see that you are trying to make the game like TF2 in a sense of paywalls, but this game is different. It is not a casual game, and it has 10x as many boosters, cheaters, smurfs etc. and instead of trying to fix that issue you opened the flood gates to even more of the people you were supposed to get rid of.
Not a very good job, will not be playing in the future.

This is a goodbye to what was once a great game.
