I was prepared for another disappointment of a programming game experience, but this is probably the most fun programming-focused game I've ever played - feels like the first time I've ever been able to apply my software development skills in a game that isn't just some series of puzzles that ultimately comes to an end.

The problems are interesting and pose good constraints that really require tolerance evaluation and situational fine-tuning, but within this byte-sized experience where the stakes are all contained within the game, and doesn't require hours of research to figure out the optimal approach, because everything you need to know is neatly documented in the info windows you can pull up at any time.

I was a bit wary when it seemed like it was using Python, but the fact that it's a stripped down "python-like" language was its saving grace, although I do miss my curly braces sometimes.

This game is pretty sus. I recommend taking a look at it, just to be sure.

Sheer, unbridled, aggression and brutality.
Best First Person Shooter to date. An absolute masterpiece in terms of mechanics, and close to the literal definition of Power Fantasy. Great exploration and secrets; lore never gets in the way of fun. Extremely fun, and challenging roster of enemies.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys proper, high octane gameplay.

Wonderful. Hours upon hours of addictive fun, bringing the best elements of upgrade systems, roguelikes and TPSs together. Beautifully simple graphics, clear interfaces, smooth controls and gameplay, and they're adding options to customise some aspects of gameplay that have already satisfied me in and of themselves.

10/10
Certainly recommend.

Updates always good and welcomed. Hours of fun. Good for coming back home after work, or drawn out, focused playthroughs. Not that good at it myself, but it's still fun.

So far, I've clocked in about 19 hours in the past week, and I must say, it's been a lot of fun. It's sort of a throwback to old roguelikes, with much more fluid controls, and a fairly high skill ceiling. Most times, when I die, I go "ah ♥♥♥♥, that was stupid (of me)". Highly recommend if you just want to grind away for a long period of time and remain entertained. Take breaks in between though, as it can get a tad frustrating eventually.

Overall, I'd say this is Game of the Year for me.
