So far I'm liking it, the new combat system works nicely, after a bit of getting used to it. Story and characters so far keep me interested, wonder how the team dynamics will proceed. There's only been one boss so far that's been a bit annoying, but one you have the pattern, it's mostly a question of patience. Besides that one, combat has been fun and dynamic, as expected from Ys.

Performance, graphics and options are good, as expected from a title that Durante has worked on.

UPDATE 02/07/2018:

After having played a while with the 4th Update released, I can say they fixed pretty much all the problems I had. Only thing that counts as a small negative is the text input windows coming up when setting the names of the main characters here and there during a playthrough, but thankfully that doesn't happen often, so I can overlook it.

With the interface improvements and the option to switch back to the old graphics, I can now FULLY RECOMMEND this port.
