Hey, don't you think it's a dream?

Buzzing vision, humming lights... I found myself in a deserted town, where's everybody? Seems it's nowhere to go. After looking around, I was given a choice of several locations to start my journey: wander around the streets, go down to the town wall or start from the tower. Without thinking twice, I went to the tower, believing that I'd look around from a height to learn the surroundings and figure out where I am and what to do.

When I got to it, I had no idea what was waiting for me. Like an inverted, full-on surrey, the tower pushed me down a rabbit hole into its labyrinths and rooms with incomprehensible creatures and entities perishable between these walls. Distraught or not yet, they throw at me fragments of an even more fantastic story that must be binding this place together. Most of em creatures are hostile, other try to help me for some reason.

Still, I have to deal with them to get through. Where to next? I don't know. Everyone climbs the tower, no matter what. Some lose their mind, some search for pieces of their past. For some, this tower like a biblical Babel, embodying desire for power or the unattainable, as they say here, nirvana. For me, with each floor, with each new knowledge this tower becomes more made of ivory.

All alone I'm running between floors and worlds in fragments of my own or others' memories. The more I remembering, the more feelings of hiraeth and loneliness grow. It petrifies my will to continue. But if I'm going numb, why do I still experience all the suffer? Something is keeping me from disappearing completely here.

What if I never were real and along with the memories it's all just a dream? Right at this moment I've noticed myself either being pursued or beckoned by some muse. She says no one but me can see her. I've no clue if I should trust her though, even if it's a possible figment of my restless mind. I believe I've seen her before.

As they say, loneliness is a power that we possess to give or take away forever. We decided to go together. Shall our burden lighten with each step, from earth to the skies. Either we just burn out in those labyrinths or fade away up there. What awaits at the last floor? I hope there'll be a point of view, that'll answer everything.
