I loved playing Ark. Its probably one of the most original ideas out there. The game itself is a blast! That is when its working. Constant crashes, bugs, and glitches make gameplay unbearable at times. For example, it would take 10-20 mins to load in as a host on a private server. Then if a friend failed to join you had to quit the lobby (which would take another 10 or so minutes unless you terminated it) and then start the loading screen again. There were times where we literally spent an hour or more just trying to connect two people together in a private game. That on top of the constant disappearance of dinos and dinos getting killed because of BS reasons and glitches made the game almost unplayable. The game is broken and they aren't taking time to fix it. They just try to distract us with more and more and more content. And it worked for a while. But now the game is simply ubearable. Too much content and virtually no optimization makes for an incredibly frustrating experience. Don't get me wrong, I've had an absolute blast playing this game, but the tolerance for crap mechanics, unoptimized gameplay, and eternal loading screens can only last so long. I wish I could recommend this game, I truly do. But its simply not worth your money at this point. Especially for the rediculously priced DLC adding EVEN MORE content on a game that is fundementally broken. WE DON'T WANT MORE CONTENT! (PAID CONTENT ESPECIALLY!) WE WANT THE GAME WE WERE PROMISED WHEN WE FUNDED THE PRODUCTION OF THIS GAME! We just want something that simply works....
