It's a reallly cool roguelike that allows for nearly limitless spell combinations, the only thing holding you back is your own creativity. So far I've had 28 hours of great fun.

One down side is that enemies don't get significantly more difficult as the difficulty levels increase. I was able to beat the Nightmare1, Nightmare2 and Nightmare3 difficulties in three consecutive playthroughs because the only thing that changes is the enemy HP. They become bullet sponges, but with a good enough build that doesn't truly increase the difficulty.

You play this game for it's combat fun, not the story (which is kind of cringy and terribly translated into English). The game could use some more enemy variety though.

I just lost 4 hours of progress because I accidentally loaded an INN save file instead of the autosave file. I quickly realized just how far this set me back, so I instantly pressed "return to title screen without saving" in an attempt to recover my progress and load from the autosave file; alas, the game immediately autosaved after loading the Inn file, overwriting 4 hours of gameplay progress. What the ♥♥♥♥ is this design? Is this what is to be expected from a 70 euro game released in 2024? On top of that, the user interfaces are outdated and annoying to use; quests are vague and offer little to no help on what to do. Dissapointing.

Early Access Review
Stardew Valley x Minecraft in the best way. TONS of content in the game already. Cute cows and sheep. 100% recommend. The only point of criticism is that the game needs to be optimized better. Low fps and stuttering is very present when you're around lots of structures like a base.

I tried this game during the free weekend with low expectations but I immediately got hooked. I definitely did not expect it to be so much fun, especially if you have some friends to play with it'll keep you busy for hours and hours. Now, 56 hours in 2 weeks later, I can certainly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys strategy card games and roguelikes.

It's a lot of fun to play casually because of the quick, 15-20min Arena mode, especially with friends. Compared to other moba's, Smite feels refreshing because of the unique 3D perspective & interesting ability kits. I don't bother with Conquest (the regular 3-lane game mode) for the same reasons why I quit all other moba's.

If you enjoy exploration, upgrading, trading and base building, you'll likely enjoy this game. I originally pirated NMS but have decided to go ahead and purchase the game for real because I like it so much. It's a little confusing at first, but if you give it a couple hours, I promise you won't regret it. ALSO if the star system you start in doesn't have a planet you like, you might wanna restart your game until you find one for you. I wish I had done this because my starter system was extremely boring and monotonous & as a beginner you'll likely spend quite some time there.

Graphics are good & the game runs surprisingly smooth. The story line is intriguing but my the thing I'm most excited about is the base building. Definitely worth it if you get it on sale.

I got this for free, and then decided I wanted to support the devs by purchasing it, because that's how great this game is. So much fun & the added story line & dialogue make the supporting characters feel alive and dynamic. 100% worth your money.

The combat feels smooth and satisfying. There's lots of different playstyles and it's a lot of fun when you accidentally discover a powerful synergy on accident by choosing the right boon at the right time.

I've played over 250 hours of ESO in total at the time of writing, previously didn't use steam
TL;DR
This one highly recommends playing ESO ;)

World, content size & Graphics
The world in ESO is huge. There are many zones with unique characters, races and unique zone quests and which makes every zone feel different, but always beautiful. There's hundreds of hours of questing and exploring available, many dungeons and raids, crafting (if you wish).. TL;DR There's a LOT to do :)

ESO's Graphics are one of the most appealing things about it IMO. The game just looks stunning. I have to refrain myself from screenshotting every step of my journey because the world just looks so good. The game is very well optimised and I rarely experience any lag at all.

Story & Questing
Out of all MMORPGs I like ESO's quests the most. The vast majority of quests feel unique and have a well written storyline. I still remember some quests in my first 20 hours of gameplay that really stuck with me because I got so invested in them. Repetitiveness in questing is usually a problem in this type of games, but ESO does a really good job of not making it boring. Every zone has different unique quests related to the region you're in and they are woven together with the other quests within the zone. The quests at the end of the zone are related to the ones at the beginning, so you feel like you're actively playing out events that happens within that region which really helps to sustain that feeling of exploration. Furthermore, if you are really into story, the game is FILLED with bookshelfs that contain pieces of lore for you to read if you want to.

And don't even get my started on the voice acting. EVERY. SINGLE. NPC. IS VOICED. And they are voiced well. Everywhere you go you hear NPCs chatting or auditively acknowledging your existence when you walk past them. This really helps the game feel alive and immersive which is a big plus when you're questing. Basically if you play MMRPG's for the storyline you're gonna LOVE this one.

Classes & character development
There are 6 unique classes - each with a DPS, Healing and Tank skill line allowing every class to be each role. There are 10 unique races - each with unique racial skills and passives.
You can switch playstyles whenever you like by just equipping a different weapon and skills. Don't worry about min maxing your character from the beginning, level up whatever skill you like. If you end up making a mistake, you can easily revert ALL level up choices with in-game gold.

Gameplay & Combat
Now, combat is one of the weaker aspects of the game IMO. There's not much to it and it's rather basic, it doesn't feel particularly immersive or difficult. Memorize your 10-skills rotation and just spam. The skills looks amazing but they don't feel very different from other MMOs. A common complaint I hear is the animation cancelling ''feature'', in order to maximize DPS you're gonna have to learn to weave autoattacks between your skills which feels more like a nuisance than a mechanic.

The general philosophy of gameplay Zenimax applied is something I support. You can do whatever you want at any time. Bored of a quest/zone you're in? Okay just skip forward to the next zone. Don't feel like questing and exploring? Aight go play dungeons, craft, PVP battlegrounds.. Enemies and rewards scale WITH you, so you can always do things later without missing out on stuff. Something I really like is that you can pick pocket NPCs, assissinate them or steal from their houses or locked boxes and then sell them in the black markets - but if you get caught you'll be in trouble with law enforcement in cities. There's 2 DLC's made especially for those who like this thief/assassin gameplay.

Price & ESO+
ESO is not pay to win. You gain acces to a lot of the game by purchasing the game which is a one-time cost. If you want to play the DLC's you can either buy them all separately (rather expensive) or buy ESO+ membership for however long you like and gain acces to ALL DLCs (except the latest expansion) for the duration of your sub along with many other handy things like an unlimited craft bag, double bank space, extra XP bonus and 1650 Crowns per month of sub. You can then use the crowns of your ESO+ to purchase zones or DLCs for good if you wish. I must say that not having the crafting bag is really annoying because your bank space will fill up faster than you can say bank space, but yeah I guess they need to give proper incentive to buy the subscription.

Had to rebuy ESO in order to play it through steam.. Don't like that. Luckily it was only 8 euros on sale.

General stuff
The game is newbie-friendly; the skills-system, combat and other systems in the game are relatively easy to learn and not as complex as some of the other MMOs out there which is nice for casual players, it helps to feel less overwhelmed which can be an issue in this game genre. Few bugs, large player base, usually low waiting times for dungeon queueing (except for damage dealers).
