MUST MAKE DA NUMBERS GO UP!!! HMMMM OVERCLOCK

I have been a massive lover of the Anno series since I was a kid when I picked up Anno 1404, which hooked me into the gorgeous and very much ahead of its time graphics, amazing campaign with twists and turns (still the best campaign in an Anno game).

But here, My review is going to be mixed and I hope I get to change it to POSITIVE soon.

General game play loop is good, although I wish Albion was a little more challenging. Graphics are stunning although hearing that AI art has been used and the not so above board way of them stating that they used it has rubbed me the wrong way. Research tree is a good addition but it doesn't really allow for multiple playthroughs with different strategies as there is a clear optimum route to use it, needs some tweeking to make other paths stronger such as going early military actually being useful.

Ground warfare is very cool and a welcome return as Anno 1800 would have been an untouchable masterpiece with it. But the campaign just ending due to ACT III being cut is un-acceptable, the story quite literally was getting better and just being swapped into sandbox without really feeling like I did anything was extremely disappointing. I hope they flesh out or add to the campaign or story in some way via free updates or I will be severely upset.

Otherwise many bugs at this stage exist, many of which are here in the comments.

5/10, as this game clearly needed a few more months to iron out and I'm sure no one would have been upset about a delay as many other studios are making the same decisions to make sure that the developers have time to work on their baby. Goodluck to the Dev's, please give this the attention and love this title deserves and we know you can do it, Anno 1800 is your benchmark and you need to reach it.

Well, Its another F1 game. Smooth, great graphics, My Team mode allows for several fresh play through's to keep the game fun.

But the corner cutting and safety car AI game sense still needs major work.

F2 Mode is a nice benefit and they've done well to add the new tracks to a good degree of what they are in real life.

Overall the game is a strong 7/10

I bought this during the summer sale just because it was cheap, I expected a subpar to decent city builder game but I got way more. Landed up blasting 20 hours in the last week and I can say witthout a shadow of a doubt this game is worth it even at full price. More developers could learn from 11bit studios.

update for the steam awards badge: Still a great game and conquest is a great addition.

For a pre-alpha game best I've ever played, great graphics, brilliant texturing and this game can go a long way.
A few bugs and gliches mainly AI but never the less 11/10
