I was really excited for Little Nightmares 3, but it just didn’t live up to what made the first two games special.

The atmosphere is still there visually, but everything else feels off. The co-op focus completely changes the tone, the loneliness and tension that defined the series are gone. Playing solo is annoying because the AI partner can be slow or glitchy, and playing with a friend kills the eerie vibe entirely.

The puzzles are too easy and repetitive. Instead of clever, creepy moments, most of the gameplay feels like busywork. The world looks amazing, but it’s like it has no soul this time.

And the story... honestly, it’s a mess. The first two games told dark, emotional stories without needing much dialogue, everything was subtle and symbolic. Here, the plot feels confusing and rushed, like they tried to force meaning where there isn’t any. It doesn’t leave you thinking or feeling much of anything.

There are also some technical problems, random frame drops, weird camera/ glitchy character movement, and a few bugs that break immersion.

It’s not completely bad, the visuals and sound design are still top-notch but everything else feels watered down. It’s a pretty game that forgot how to be haunting. As a fan of the series, this was a huge disappointment.
