Devs only care about shoveling more dlc out at the expense of creating stupid imbalance that takes away players ability to actually control the outcome of the game.

I was really enjoying this game until 45 minutes into a run someone joined and my game just completely broke. They were teleporting all over the place and eventually collided with me which shot me through the ground and killed me instantly. This continued for the rest of the run, until I got dc'd by the trash that is Photon.

If I wasn't over the playtime limit at the time of writing I would 100% refund, and I honestly have a hard time recommending what is otherwise a fun game because of this. If it was a game where rounds were only 15-20 minutes it would be one thing, but this is a game where you can easily spend north of an hour on a run only to have it completely ruined for absolutely no reason. Apparently Photon is notorious for this kind of thing, so hopefully the devs will use some of their virality money to get real servers.

I had never before run a drug cartel just so that I could get enough money to buy fancy medicine to keep a squirrel alive. I had never come a gnat's whisker away from escaping a hostile planet on a spaceship of my own creation, only to have my entire civilization wiped out by a pack of rabid turtles. I had never killed an ancient and unknown evil entity by installing air conditioners on the outside walls of its tomb and freezing it. Then I played Rimworld.

-Starting Game- "This looks fun"
-First 5 Minutes- "This is kinda clever"
-First Hour- "Hey this is really addictive"
-4 A.M.- "I've made a huge mistake"

Great game, can be glitchy at times. I will say that the studio is not 100% trustworthy, but thats another story.

DO NOT BUY. Unless you are using windows 8, this game WILL NOT WORK. Beyond that, it doesnt actually use the steam multiplayer gui, it uses gfwl. need I say more? If in the future, GFWL works, then ill write a better review. [EDIT] They finally switched the game to steamworks, and it works fine. In addition to that, I was provided with a free copy of the soundtrack as compensation. The graphics are great, and the modes are engaging.

Great game that just keeps on giving you more challenges!
