The racing portion of the game is fun, the soundtrack is great, and the courses overall are good. It's not a Mario Kart killer, IMO, and I honestly still think All-Stars Racing Transformed is the best official Sega kart racer style game, but CrossWorlds is fun enough.

That said, I so have some gripes. First, the game doesn't really respect your time. If you want to make out friendship with a single character (required if you wanna do all of the missions, but not required for any achievements), you're looking at 50+ hours for just that alone. That's on top of unlocking the other stuff.

Second, none of the DLC characters (excluding Miku) have voice, not even the Sega ones. I would've much rather they spent money given those characters voice than including characters like Spongebob and Aang, who I don't feel belong in this game. Nobody is asking for rival interactions, but is it that hard to give characters dialogue in the menus, results screen, and for emotes?

Third, there are decals for official companies in the game. You don't have to use them, but it is a form of advertising. It may seem harmless enough, but Sega still couldn't use that money to pay for voice for characters they own,

Lastly, the items are no balanced at all. Sandbagging is basically required for online play in the high-level rankings. It's on the level of Mario Kart Wii for unbalanced it is.

So anyway, the game is fun and I do recommend it, but it has flaws.

Early Access Review
The game is in Early Access and obviously incomplete, but for what's there the gameplay is solid. The movement is fast, but not so fast it's hard to follow, and the game rewards you for experimenting with different builds between solo and multiplayer. There are some builds that are very poor in solo runs, but shine immensely during multiplayer.

Patience is required. If you're new to the game, or especially the genre, expect to die a lot early on. Many people may encounter a small roadblock early on. But with practice you'll get through it and your first solo clear will make you feel accomplished. And eventually you'll be clearing even the harder difficulties without too much trouble.

For less gameplay-related stuff, the biomes are beautiful and the soundtrack is stellar. Still waiting for a full version of "Wild Eyes". Sadly, there isn't much story to discover in the game yet, but it is coming.

The only real con I have is that I can't get the Guinea Pig skin anymore.

In short, I can't wait to see how the game progresses. Excited for more biomes, amazing music, lore, and even character skins!

First of all, I want to thank Ian Flynn for fixing so much of the bad writing in recent games. Especially with Tails! He properly addressed everything that was wrong through dialogue and interactions and there's now a good direction for the character growth in future games to go!

Naturally, as is the case with most Sonic games, the soundtrack is on point!

As for the game itself, Sonic Frontiers has plenty of faults, many of which are glaring. However, as whole the game was an enjoyable treat after being disappointed in Sonic games for so long now. If Sega can address the issues (many of which are already fixed by mods), such as the Cyber Space physics and the Elder Koco upgrades, the game will really start to shine.

Digimon Survive is a visual novel/tactics RPG fusion. The visual novel aspect plays a much larger role than the the RPG part of the game, so do keep that in mind if purchasing this game.

If you're good with that, and you're a Digimon fan, you're in for a treat. The story takes dark turns that are completely unexpected for a piece of Digimon media and they leave a lasting impact. It's a bit refreshing, actually, and the true route is a proper Digimon story through and through.

The game itself isn't that hard, even on the harder difficulties. I found myself only needing to swap out crystals on a handful of fights. But if you don't take the time to level up and train your Digimon, you'll find yourself vastly underleveled and needing to rely on tactics.

The game won't be for everyone, but it's worth going through, especially if you're a Digimon and/or visual novel fan!

My biggest gripe has got to be the localization. Some naming choices were odd, and there some choices that make you scratch you heard in confusion. Truth be told, there weren't THAT many mistakes, but when you come across them, they stick out very noticeably.

The Definitive Edition makes an already great game even greater!

With the Definitive Edition, 2 brand new areas are added to the game, with 2 new abilities to go along with them. Each new area makes use of the new ability and teaches you how to use them. The new Dash skill will also change the speedrun game in its entirety, allowing Ori to speed through areas once this skill is mastered. Players can also now warp between the save point wells.

For those of you having trouble with the original game, the DE adds a brand new easy difficulty. Enemies will fall over and merely tickle you, and checkpoints will be added to some of the escapes. Those of you seeking a challenge can try the new Hard difficulty, where enemies will takes less damage and kill you in 2-3 hits no matter how much health you have, and the brand new One Life mode. As the name implies, you get one life to beat the game.

Finally, there is a new story element to the game! With the addition of two new areas, players gain a bit of insight into Naru's past.

Those of you femiliar with the original version of the game will notice that althought many of the secrets remain the same, the way to access them has change. Areas that previously required the Ground Pound may now require a different ability to access them, so things have changed for even those who think they know everything just because they completed the original.

If you have the original, there's plenty new to justify the $5 purchase! If you haven't played the original, well, now you can play a superior version of Ori!

Having gotten the true ending to the game, I understand the admiration this game gets. If you truly want to experience this game, DO NOT watch a "Let's Play" of it. This a game that must be experienced on your own first.

The gameplay is simple to understand, but everything has a unique take on how you handle it based on the choices you make in the game. You can choose to treat this game as an old-school type RPG with the elements of a bullet-hell mixed in, or you can choose another route and treat as something else. Although, calling it "an old-school RPG" even when taking the closest route to that is still a mistake on my part. There's enough differences that it's a unique experience no matter which route you go.

The soundtrack for this game is amazing, especially toward the end! I didn't get too into the music at first, but as I progressed through the game, it became more and more glorious.

The story is also great! It presents itself basic enough: Humans and monsters once lived together. Stuff happened and the humans rose up and defeated the monsters, trapping them underground. The monsters want to return to the surface. You, a human, wind up falling through a hole to the underground world of monsters and must brave your way back to the surface. This is where the simple premise ends and it develops into something much more profound. Your choice in the game will shape what directions the story takes as well.

This is a game you should definitely play! Take the time away from your massive Steam backlog and give it a go before somebody on the internet has a chance to spoil it for you. ^_^

How many times can a game hit you with feels? Ori and the Blind Forest strikes you right out of the gate with beautiful scenery and music, and then continues to pound away at you at every point in the story. The game encourages saving a lot and saving often, as everything in this forest will want to kill you. The dungeons especially will test your mastery of the skills you've picked up leading toward them.

Similar to old Metroid games, the forest is one massive map that will tempt you to backtrack every time you gain a new ability to see what secrets can now be revealed.

Ori is not without its bugs, but it's easy to look past that at a wonderful and challenging platformer. Highly recommended!

This game plays a lot like an older Sonic game if you threw in Mega Man-like bosses throughout the levels. Story isn't bad, but for those of you who want as little story as the Sonic games of old, there's a Classic mode that skips the cutscenes and will give you level after level. The difficulty curve ramps up substantially as the game progresses. If you play on the harder difficulties, expect to die.

The game is well worth the asking price, and you'll find that it's a more enjoyable playthrough than sitting through Sonic 4 Episodes 1 and 2. If you yearn for the days when Sonic games were good, but want something new, I highly recommend picking this up.
