Had a blast completely clearing the game on my first playthrough. The game's combat is incredible but there are some issues on other portions of the game.

In my opinion, the combat is really carrying the majority of the game and this positive review. Deflecting, ninja stance, aerial attacks, and weapon arts gauge added a lot of flair and technical depth to the combat. Being able to tackle some encounters with hit and run ninja stance then switching to samurai to deflect my way through a different boss made the combat feel refreshing and fun.

I have mixed feelings about the open world placement and the very limited mob spawns and density. Much of the game is fighting 1 bigger yokai or maybe a pack of 3 small guys, with only a handful of mixed encounters. Never mind that the majority of the game is fighting reskins of jailers, dwellers, or skeleton. I think the game could have easily had more spawns and varied yokai instead of the repeating three. I wish Team Ninja had learned their lessons from pre-DLC Nioh 2 which also had the same mob variety but I feel the lack of major success for Rise of Ronin neutered the development of Nioh 3 and it really shows.

This game is fantastic. Lots to explore and the combat is very reactive and high pace. It's a great time. The side stories are some of the best.

What a great hidden gem and only for 5$. I hope the dev makes a sequel as this was a fantastic journey and experience. I had a lot of fun playing through this game with 2 friends. Highly recommend this game.

I think this is my favorite alternative Lethal Company like game. It's of course early access and has some bugs, can use some some work, but I think it's still a fantastic game in it's current state. This is well worth the price.

Was very fun and not a single hitch while playing multiplayer, a real surprising amount of polish for something in early access. I am looking forwards to the new zones and automation is added next. My only suggestion is that something be done about the splitters because they're not as helpful and often cause more issues.

The game is quite fun but it has plenty of bugs and questionable balance changes.

The Spear's lock-on has no worked properly since Day 1. How the lock-on issues were never caught by in-house QA is baffling. Every patch that they fix bugs, there are new bugs and crashes introduced to the game.

They nerfed the slugger for being too good at long range... by nerfing it's stagger? They nerfed the explosive crossbow's radius with the rational that it's a shape charge not a fragmentation munition. Except that the crossbow's penetration is non-existent and it can't close bug holes or even open crates.

Even with these on-going issues, the game to game fun is still great and enjoyable with both friends and randoms. I just really wish they'd buckle down and fix these bugs and review their gun balance philosophy.

A great game that takes notes from MH and other popular "hunting" style games. It is a blast to play and I hope they continue supporting the game with more content.

Fun game that's a mix of a few others in the genre. Some highlights are allowing crafting to pull from all chests in the base (why other survival games don't do this blows my mind) and collecting/using Pals is fun. Pal AI at the base needs some large improvements as well as fixing the mid-game refined ore stage which is a drag. Making Pal metal is a joke in comparison and way better to deal with.

Overall it still needs to cook more but I got my 30$ worth and can't wait to revist in the future.
