In its current state, there is no reason to use 90% of the weapons. Getting beamed at range in min TTK is such fun.

Has potential. For some reason you spawn without replenished ammo, so if you have to dump an entire mag into someone (because ttk is so low), you have to leave your spawn, sit for 3 seconds while resupplying, then either die or manage to get another kill. Also, and it's either lag or intentional, but CQB requires you to lead targets rather than hit scan which is ridiculous.

Not sure why everyone's complaining, the game runs perfectly on my rig. 1440p, 144FPS, max settings... looks great too.

I like it, if you can't run it, tough.

Early Access Review
Three years and this game is still plagued with basic glitches preventing gameplay.

Spawn, loot, kill, all loot and current items bug out, all loot and current items in plain sight but not lootable, quit.

Oh, and the game runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ arse.

Either find yourself a team and wait till grouping works properly; or get paired with dribblers.

Blew someone's head off and watched him ragdoll off a roof, 10/10

Archeage is a very interesting, visually pleasing and in-depth game.

The game allows players to create a lifestyle in which they construct their own house and farm their own produce. While doing so, players can also follow a line of work which could vary from carpentry, cooking, alchemy and plenty more.

Players can also become a Jury to help decide what happens to players who commit illegal activities such as murder, stealing and various other activities. This gives players the ability to decide as a team of 5 how long the criminal's sentence should be depending on his actions; each player gives a decision and an overall sentence time is confirmed - this is only if the player is found to be guilty.

The class and skill system is quite in-depth with a over 100 possible classes. When first creating your character, you choose between 6 main skillsets; Battlerage (Warrior Melee), Sorcery (Spellcasting Ranged), Archery (Hunter Ranged), Vitalism (Healer Range), Occultism (Necromancer Range), Shadowplay (Assassin Melee). Once you hit level 10, you can then select your final third skill to finalize your class; each class has a specific name, for example Archery/Shadowplay/Auramancy is known as 'Primeval'. You can choose another skillset whenever you want however you will be penalised by being reduced back to level 10 in that skillset. Similarly, you can respec each skillset by paying a currency fee allowing you to re-choose what abilities you would like from that particular skillset. This allows players to change their abilities to suit the situation.

Instances are enjoyable with various mechanics being responsible for how you progress towards the end of the instance. The first instance is an underground mine whereby a bridge collapses forcing the players into a small area to fight a pack of weak enemies. It is then the player's job to flood the hole to bring the player back up to the bridge and continue. Next, the player must use explosives, found in an area only accessible by killing the first boss, to blow up a part of the wall allowing passage to the next area of the instance. These little features add to the experience making it more than just a mob-clearing exercise.

The quest line has a lot to offer with a main questline, which sadly dissapeared at around level 28-30, and various side quests, all of which offer rewards such as gear, currency or potions. One issue with the quests is that a large proportion of them consist of "Kill X/X (Enter mob name here)" which can become extremely tiresome and dull very quickly, unless you enjoy killing the same enemy over and over again. Let's not forget that you can overachieve certain quests in order to yield larger experience rewards, and for some this means killing even more enemies than is required.

I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed Archeage and I look forward to participating in more Beta events and will certainly be playing the game once fully released.

As usual, this is my own opinion of the game and is not to be used solely to determine whether or not it is a game for you; please read other people's reviews for a wider understanding and varying opinion.
