First opinions having just played through the tutorial yesterday as of this post in 11/05/2025

I can say with absolute certainty that this game does activate some levels of autism I didn't know I had yet while simultaneously giving me a very passionate anger and spite towards the tutorial voice having discovered that if you do something wrong in the tutorial the tutorial voice will be in a monotone voice "you placed the incorrect block, remove the incorrect block" like a 1970s mcdonalds employee test sound that I will not even be able to understand how

after about an hour of spiting the tutorial voice in the first tutorial of basic controls and boat building I did make a dragonfly water skipper,

love and hate that tutorial voice guy somehow you make it super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny and frustrating to an infuriating degree that makes it absolute ludicrous to even get mad at, and I keep finding myself laughing from the confusion of infuriation, rage, sorrow, spite, autism and more

Overall : game solid 9/10
Tutorial voice guy both a -50/10 and 10/10 at the same time

New Masochism levels unlocked from the first boss, I watched my friends souls die inside, didnt realize it was a darksouls game until after beating I think the 2nd boss, kept calling the umbral realm the "shadow realm" and still continue to refer to it as so after realizing what it's called, I can see the amount of summersualts giving me brain damage, 10/10 would reccomend

New EAC is vrchat shooting itself in the foot, do not support vrc+ nor the discord. VRCHAT is being ruined by the current devs which may I remind you are not even the original who are qualified to even work on this game, to add a anti cheat system to a game with no goal, no objective, no competitive value is killing the game itself.

Edit/Update, been clean and sober from vrchat for years now,
can say the time I've spent on this platform doing things, was all escapism for myself.
happy to be off and away from it sucking countless hours from my life
also, the reason I'm making an edit to my review:

♥♥♥♥ vrchat, almost 99% of people who I've met in this game are probably still in it using it as escapism as well, most people in this game don't even have that long of a memory as well, its pretty clear from the consistent "who are you again?" when I've only ever seen them drunk inebriated, intoxicated or further involved in some drama of some kind, relationships don't last long in this game, with few exceptions, people preach but don't practice, overall can be a nice place if used in moderation and within groups you are comfortable around, but well....

I've removed every single last mirror in my house because of this game, escaping from escapism, quite ironic I know.. but it helps me get rid of the memories of vrchat being 75% gazing at my own avatar and only wishing I could look like that irl..

peace, I hope this game dies a horrible burning death before even league of legends, I'd say this game can be even more toxic that League of Legends, goodnight and goodbye forever.
