Well, I found it. The looter-shooter-extraction-social_experiment veideogame I had previously always wanted to play, and it comes with an amazing community (FOR FREE. Take that, microtransactions).

Speaking of microtransactions ...... they're only cosmetic, and -- in my eyes -- just a cool way to support the devs who, in their calculated-but-I'm-sure-sincere benevolence, shipped an $70 game for $40.

The game...
If you like extraction games, buy it.
If you like looter-shooters, but it immediately.
If you like battle royales, ...well, I'm sorry what this game has done to your lobbies, but you should check out what all the hype is about. Immediately.
...or maybe not. You guys are more trigger-happy than an ICE agent on bath salts.

In any case... yeah, this game has no business being this fun. Even while playing solo, which is preposterous...

**Definitely play with headphones and a mic. Not doing so would cut out 14.2% of the fun.

This. game. holds. up. My god... Pristine recreation to a game that, were it made new today, would still be very fun and wort the price of admission.

Heckin' fun game -- it can be problematically addictive, so use responsibly with any pre-existing marital conditions.

Phenomenal blend of a "cozy" management and survival game, especially if you have the patience to just enjoy the process -- the action within the grind (on neither of which is the game light-handed).
There's a great amount of reward to be found as the game progresses, especially if you enjoy being creative within a sandbox.

Also ... this game is fun to play solo, and it is an absolute blast to play with a great group. I've not played on the public servers, so I can't speak to the community, but my friends and I have thoroughly enjoyed camping out to take a deep-dive.

Damn decent, fun logic game that apparently turned me into a video game completionist with a deathwish.

You will die many times, but don't worry -- so did god, apparently.

Short story (took me a little over 3hrs) with a massive amount of replay-ability.

I was an outlier who played this at release on my XB-One with very few issues, and absolutely loved the game at the time.

Re-starting it, it's evolved to the point of almost being a different game, and it's incredible -- easily one of the greatest FPS RPG's of all time, in my opinion, brilliantly marrying Rockstar and Bethesda formulas.

I recommend it at full price; it's a steal on-sale.

If you haven't played it, dismiss your (reasonably) preconceived notions and treat yourself.
10/10, would recommend.
