I've been playing for about 18 months and love this game. It's the definition of what an idle game should be IMO.

Most of my play time is on Android (cross saves exist, can play same account from Steam and mobile).

It's not pay to "win", there's no PVP, there's nothing to "win". However, if you choose, you can pay to make progress much faster.

Awesome little game, worth the asking price without question.

I don't care about the censorship personally, I thought that was an odd reason to review bomb the game. However, they did a lot of other things at the same time they were not transparent about which actually impacted the game negatively. The "new" graphics were toned way down, lighting is awful, textures are awful. And even that, I wouldn't have bothered coming to leave a review for, it's all about the gameplay for me...

The AI went from "fairly decent" to "horrible". Your teammates now actively look for ways to get themselves murdered, civilians don't care you exist or listen to any commands, suspects have a severe case of auto aim...

I don't know what they were thinking, but I hope they un-think it.

If nothing else, at least change the AI behavior back.

Early Access Review
Just played through the first dungeon, hit level 5. Will update review later if necessary but initial impressions are "this game is amazing." It feels like an MMO, in all the right ways, and none of the wrong ones. Buy it, now, you won't regret it.

I got through the content that is here in about 45 minutes, including the optional side "mission" and spending some time sliding around on dirt and messing with the physics. So don't expect much, this is a very short, linear, preview of the game. You take one run, with a side mission built in, and at the end it dumps you back to the main menu.

The Good
- Truck feels pretty good below 80 kph on pavement
- View from in cab felt good
- Controls were easily configured (I used a T248 to play this)
- Mission was fun, even though it was very basic
- Offroad dirt physics were fun, the final delivery is on a dirt road and I spent a couple minutes sliding around the corners
- Being able to disconnect the doubles from each other and park them individually is a cool addition

The Indifferent
- At mission finish, why do I have to get out of the truck at the gate to tell them I'm there? Isn't that what the CB in the truck is for? If not the CB, did the gate attendant (there's a booth for an attendant) take today off? There is no logical reason to have to get out, other than showing off the fact that the game lets you get out.
- The truck itself, very generic. It's fine, it's fun enough, but it's just a basic, generic, non-licensed truck
- Graphics - Nothing impressive, not better than it's competitor despite being much newer. Passable, fine for a truck sim, but very just "OK". Definitely not worse than it's competitor, but not better either.
- Runs fine, 60 FPS steady with everything maxed on my 4060Ti 16GB setup, 1440p.
- The AI traffic behavior - It stopped instead of rear-ending me, so that was good. Beyond that, they just drive in a straight line and randomly hit their brakes on straightaways for no discernible reason. Nothing special here, if anything maybe a little worse than expected in 2025.
- Offroad mud physics - There's only one very small area where this comes into play, I would've liked to see more of it. I'm putting this in the indifferent category because there's not enough of it to tell if it's actually any good. What is there felt very cookie cutter, not special. Just hit the gas and the truck walked right through it. A pop up came up informing me I could lock the differential, but by the time I read it the truck already cleared the mud, so it was completely unnecessary.

The Bad
- Truck feels like it's floating above 80kph, like it's somehow disconnected from the road. I assume this'll get fixed, as the truck really does feel good at lower speeds.
- Steering wheel FFB needs an in game option. There's no setting to turn it down, and it's super aggressive. Just driving down the flat asphalt was shaking me to my core just holding onto the wheel... I had to turn it down in my system settings. It's the most aggressive FFB default setting I've ever come across, and with no way to change it in game...
- Sound - There's just not much of it, the truck itself is way too quiet, there's nearly no road noise, even the cattle guards don't make any noise when you drive over them.
- AI Traffic Design - This game has "Australia" in the title, why is the AI traffic primarily American vehicles? Makes no sense.
- It's not called a "Gas Station" in Australia, that's an American name for it, yet it's what is being used in the game, which again, has "Australia" in the title.

Overall Verdict
I'd buy the full version based on this, the good outweighs the bad, and I can always use another decent sim game. There's potential for this to be great, but right now I'd place it in the "decent enough" category.

It's Splitgate 1 running on a new engine. Gunplay is fine, but portals aren't very useful as you are extremely limited as to where you can place them. A lot of bots in the games, and I don't mean bad players, I mean literal bots. There's not much else to say...

If it weren't for the bots, I could give the game a recommended because it's OK for what it is, but the bots kill it. It's just not fun when half the players in the lobby aren't real people in a game like this, so for that reason, I have to go with a thumbs down.

Early Access Review
Game feels great. There just isn't much here yet, very little to do. You can see some of the content that's coming, but right now the options are just greyed out, can't be clicked. Recommending because it's early access, and the fundamentals are there. What does exist is excellent, and if they continue that trend, this will eventually become my go to racer. Only problem I ran into in my short time played so far is the server seems incredibly unstable, literally every 2 minutes... online, offline, online, offline, etc. They'll definitely need to sort that out pretty quick.

Excellent game, completion time is under 2 hours though. IMO it's time well spent, very glad I bought it, just beware there isn't much to it. You dig a hole for a while, until you're done.

Loving this game, both the large scale PVP mode and Operations are very well done and a lot of fun. Game runs extremely well on my hardware as well, which at this point is somewhat dated, so that's awesome too. Highly recommend giving this one a try.
