An addictive 3D platformer. This game's style is so in-your-face and bold you kinda have to respect it. The closest comparison I could make to this game would be Banjo-Kazooie on steroids; it's a high speed collectathon with essentially zero downtime and no dull moments.
Some of the humor doesn't land, and dates the game quite a bit, but respect the references made regardless. There's quite a bit of funny situations, dialogues, and environments to play through in each of the game's levels, but the gameplay and platforming trumps everything else here. Racing around each level and parkouring to each gear is so satisfying.
The game could describe some of the mechanics a bit more explicitly: the game gets so much more satisfying once you understand the entirety of the controls and mechanical quirks (which aren't spelled out the best, I'd highly recommend looking up boost tips/guides online). But once you get the boost timing down, the completion grind is a joy to go through.
And this game has a lot of content to go through. So many levels with so much to do, and an adoring retro style to gawk at throughout each hour of playtime. Great game... 10/10

Perfect little puzzle game. While extremely short, the difficulty the puzzles surprisingly ramp up to in this game definitely reach the maximum complexity I'd personally like to see before becoming tedious or annoying. Each level gets more difficult, with new ways to interact with the game's central color mechanic being introduced intuitively along the way.
The Portal inspirations are readily apparent, but not unwelcome: The basic feeling of going through laboratory levels is derivative, but the visual style given to the light mechanics is really something special, and I couldn't imagine a different way for this game to look--and it looks great.
This game scratches the puzzle game itch I'm always looking for, and was a lot of fun... 10/10

You can tell the devs had a lot of fun making this game. MainFrames is a lovely little platformer with a fun mechanical gimmick every level. Likely taking some inspiration from Celeste, this game scratched a platforming itch for me that was fun throughout my playtime. The sprite work and colors are so good, and the gameplay speaks for itself. The new mechanics in each level don't overstay their welcome, and give some good variety, never feeling stale or repetitive. :)
The only complaint I would raise is that it is far too short! I got a heavy feeling that the devs rushed the final couple of levels, and could have pumped more content and puzzles into these last levels if given time. That being said, this game is perfect for a complete playthrough in 1-2 evenings. While I wouldn't recommend this game for its story, the story present is simple and cute, especially during the conclusion, and the completion grind felt pretty satisfying... 10/10

A continuation of the first game, Sludge Life 2 simply gives more of the same, quirky humor and collect-a-thon gameplay as Sludge Life 1. SL2 does not heavily innovate on its predecessor's gameplay, if at all. That being said, if you liked the first, you'll for sure like this game. I had a lot of fun going through all the funny dialogue trees and checking off all of the tag locations. Obvi the music is pretty good, and one of the main appeals for the game, as it sets the tone of literally everything in this game. Gnarly... 10/10

Such a fun movement platformer (and a little bit of shooter). While short, the gameplay is addicting and getting good times on these levels feels like a fun challenge to go for. You NEED to go FASTER... 10/10

Neat little game. This game is a simple collect-athon with some quirky characters and minigames. There's good amount of charm with some surprisingly meaningful (albeit short) conversations from the perspective of the protagonist, Terry. This game is extremely cute, with the caveat that the 100% can be quite annoying. Any casual player will have a blast with this game and it's world... Very turbojunk... 10/10

Such a lovely little puzzle game. Genuinely no filler, just a lot of fun. It's hard to put to words how the game feels to play, but it was so surprisingly smooth for what game physics wizardry is going on. The mechanics feel so air-tight that it made the passable UI seem comparatively middling. That's really the only complaint I have with this game. I love all of the puzzles and the fun solutions, and all of the unique subversions of the game's mechanics.

While it is definitely the game's second priority, behind the puzzles themselves, the plot that streams the puzzles together is also really good for how short the game is! It tackles some questions revolving around simulations and climate change, and has some well-executed commentary on both of those subjects. While it is probably shallower, Viewfinder's surface-level philosophical commentary was far more enjoyable to me than other puzzle games who attempt to do the same, like The Witness' grandstanding.

Idk, probably getting way further into the weeds than this charming game needs to be discussed in. I just think it's neat. Cait is the best cat... 10/10

A great follow-up to a hilarious game. Steps in this game can be a bit obtuse and frustrating at times, but the writing just trumps all of that. Truly one of the funniest games of all time. This sequel, specifically, really amped up the cleverness, having you wait so so long for a joke to land. Hilarious Chekhov's guns spread out everywhere in these episodes with such satisfying punchlines. It goes without saying that I enjoyed the writing and humor above all else in this game, but I did enjoy all of the DeSoto games and great content this game has to offer... 10/10
