I'm extremely happy to see Guild Wars 2 get added to Steam. I'm a long time Arenanet fan; with thousands of hours on the first and second Guild Wars games. If you're thinking about giving this game a chance; you should. ANET does a great job immersing you into the world of Tyria and beyond.
Tons to do as a solo player and even more to do if you're more of a PVP player. World vs. World is definitely my favorite mode to play and I highly recommend giving it a try later into your GW2 experience :)
P.S. - If you're an OG ANET launcher player and moving to steam (for obvious reasons its steam lol) make sure to put
-provider Portal into your launch options in your GW2 properties. This let's you log into your existing account. ALSO - I advise if you're not already up to date on DLC - to buy all of the expansions through ArenaNet themselves rather than through Steam. Buying the expansions on Steam doesn't apply them to your old ArenaNet account. To be honest, they do great sales and promos so I would just get them from the source anyway and just use steam for the social and overlay benefits <3
