It has some moments of awkward user interface, but it's a simply designed roguish Tower Defense game with a handful of towers, some resource mechanics, and a good few novel ideas that make it worth checking out.

Plus, it's often priced to sell, and they're working on a Rogue Tower II!

Bioweaver has a lot of interesting mechanics packed into its premise. You've got a little bloop of a mutant slime thing, it has a brain, and you can attach organ systems to introduce new weapons, status effects, and uhh... reproductive systems? I'm not sure how to describe the Offspring category, but you can set up your glob to produce little buddies, like dropping little slimes or generating sparrows.

But the interesting thing is how you chain these weird organs together. Maybe you set up your goo with some antennae so he can attack hostile lifeforms. But what happens if you hook some Offspring into your blobber, and put the antennae on them instead? Suddenly it's a squad of little buddies lashing out at the baddies.

This makes for an interesting game for players that like to tinker with character builds and explore the interactions among the games various mechanics. And it's priced to sell!

Boneraiser Minions is really a very impressive game. Graphically, it could have existed very comfortably on the Nintendo Entertainment System, and mechanically the game is a surprisingly robust mash-up of the fundamentals of army building, tower defense, and let's say vampire surviving gameplay.

The playable character can be one of a number of different spooky class types, some more distinct than others, each with their own development systems. Most classes have a signature troop type, like the boneraised Skeletal troops of the initial necromancer-type character, or the waxen sculpture troops of the Doll Maker. The vampire class even has its own bats!

Each field of combat has its own theme, but of more utility are their numerous opportunities to construct assets to assist the player character in combat; building grave plots with traps in them, jack-o'-lanterns that explode when bumped, spellbook pedestals, or family memorials haunted with ghosts to help fight off the swarms of goody-two-shoes elves and knights that are coming for you.

The game has a few different game modes, which are largely similar to the main game, and a sort of competitive deckbuilding card game. Toss in a few mild collect-a-thon elements, some amusing cosmetic hats and less amusing cloaks, and there's a good pile of game here - and it's priced to sell.

Defense Grid and its sequel are top tier Tower Defense games. Defense Grid didn't invent the genre, but it exemplifies it.

If you enjoyed Vampire Survivors, definitely give Bio Prototype a good look.

The game is substantially different, but it's scratching a lot of the same itches in this reversal of the Bullet Hell genre, where *you* are the Bullet Hell. Unlockable starting characters, a strong variety of loot drops to customize your offense, item combinations, spending points on statistic levels - there's a lot here to play with and most of your playthroughs will be different.

This junk is really damned cool, man. Don't play it on a console; it's busted junk on the PS3 that they shouldn't have been allowed to sell.

Great story, great characters. So good. Radio is pretty much the only weak point. Needed more songs, nawmean?
