A game where you are the normal person. Just squishy punching bag, in a world of mechs and tanks.

Pick your fights, or be dead to rights, the enemy is heavily armed and outnumbers you 10-1, but luckily for you, they have bigger problems to worry about than one little scavenger

Great weapon customization, and the faction warfare system works very well, even had a standoff with an enemy where we both had guns trained on one another, but decided that i wouldnt fire and he did the same and moved on. Game is fantastic as a concept, and i am sure it will just get better with time.

Spellmasons is what happens when the player is allowed to do absolutely anything they want with as few restrictions as possible. The game gives you spells, it gives you some basic information and restraints, and tells you to go nuts making whatever spell chain you can concoct, only limited by your mana pool (which can be overfilled to limitless amounts).

Anyone who likes the concept of a roguelite wizard building the most crazy spells imaginable should give this a shot!

19 hours on steam, about 200 across the playtests, yet i am little more than a half-decent player lol. Dark and darker is a great RPG fantasy experience, if you enjoy games that beat the living crap out of you. You will die, you will rage, but if you stick to your guns, learn the games ins and outs, you might just find alot of enjoyment to be had. I know i did, thats for sure.

Theres both good PVE and PVP, in my opinion, where most fights are won by the players decision-making and skill. Sometimes gear-difference can seem overwhelming, and in some cases it is. Thats part of the game though, deciding if a fight is good for you, or if you should look to disengage. As for PVE, all monsters have attack patterns that you can take advantage of in different ways.

The dungeon is dark, the shadows are darker, and i am still getting murked by nightmare skeletons.

UPDATED REVIEW:
I can no longer recommend this game, the developers keep making drastic changes despite players having told them/shown them the changes are terrible and they will leave if they do, then rolling back the changes when players inevitably leave, players come back and nothing of value was gained.

I would be OK with this happening once. Maybe even twice. But at this point, its happened too many times to count. The game is still fun, and i would recommend trying it out, but beware that sweeping changes WILL happen for no reason other than because the devs wanted a completely different game for a while.

From the Depths is a building game, with a focus on ships, aircraft and land vehicles. It has some of the most configurable guns in any game, allowing you to make everything from a tiny CIWS to intercept enemy weapons, to massive triple-barrel 2000mm CRAM cannons or 500mm Advanced cannons to break enemy ships in a single volley!

If that isn't your style, missiles come in even more varieties and can be customized to be as tiny or enormous as you want them to be, even being able to make cluster missiles for some added mayhem.

All in all, From the Depths is a game that has some of the greatest aspects of a building game, and unfortunately comes with some of the worst of it as well. Because of its sheer amount of parts and mechanics, you will have to climb a mountain to figure out how the game works, what things do what, what fits well together, and these things can mean spending 10 - 20 hours essentially just learning the game.

The flipside of that? The least restrictive building in any game. Everything, even engines and propulsion, can be tailor-made to fit exactly the kind of vehicle you are building. From large steam engines for massive ships, to custom high-impact jet thrusters for speeding through the air. There is something for everyone.

That all adds up to an experience that in my opinion, is the most amazing game of its kind, allowing you to essentially do anything you want, which for me most of the time is making crafts that are evasive, have plenty of counter-measures, and above all else: alot of GUNS.

TLDR:
10 - 20 hours of tutorial, near endless gameplay past that, its worth the effort if you love creating things.
PS: Check out lathland on youtube! He is pretty fantastic at the game and recent (by the time of this review) videos have him make a vehicle from scratch to tackle the rogue-like mode of the game, adventure mode.

A wonderful 2D platformer that does a splendid job of teaching the player how to do each of it's many tricks. It does a nice job of inviting anyone to just play and enjoy it, or for those who want an extra challenge there is always the strawberries to collect!

I can't recommend it enough, as it has a wonderful OST and artstyle, an interesting story about Madelein (and a bit rough sometimes, the feels are real in this one). Not to mention the characters, who are really the stars of the show here. Only cons I can really think of is that it is best played with a controller, which you may or may not be used to and that you may get frustrated with some of the optional strawberry challenges.

To sum it up, if you are looking for a (relatively) relaxed 2D platformer thats not too difficult but not too easy, has great music for the ride, interesting narrative both in story and characters then this game is definitely for you. The devs put alot of love into this one and it's amazing because of it!

Good addictive gameplay, doesnt take itself seriously which adds to the humor of the game, and its mechanics are solid. Very good!
