Look, I may have only played 10 hours of this game, and it may not seem much, but heres the quick summary of what I feel this game deserves the title "scariest game of all time":

- The suspense of exploring narrow corridors, barren and desolated public areas(its predecessor done it better, look for Dead Space and its 100x times more supsense worthy)
- The intensity of music and not knowing who is gonna pop out at any corner
- The lore continues from where DS left off, exploring new opportunities and unresolved questions about Marker and its origins
- Isaac finally talks
- A game that took Resident Evil as its idea and multiplied the fear of horror in space and truly shows us what could happen if this horor/fear genre were to happen in Space. In my opinion, dying in Space is much more terrifying if we ever dare to reach for the stars and hopefully not end up in the same scenario as DS's 2565 or w/e the date is.

Overall, this game has left huge imprint on horror gaming fans to desire for something more like this, but we have been getting nothing but false positives ever since. Dead Space 3 may or may not be your game, but in my opinion it didn't lived up to its expectations of narrow corridor/anxiety feeling type of vibes where in Dead Space you explored 11 chapters of USG Ishimura and you could agree that for 11 chapters of the game is plentiful of anxiety vibes given and in Dead Space 2 - they try to keep it the same, but from time to time you are given space to breath in and use that space to your advantage.

tl;dr - still is, still there was, still there ever will be the best horror game trilogy out there, exceeding our expectations on what space horror should be all about.
