More effort was put into the looks versus the gameplay and optimization. Who in their right mind would make a Ultrakill clone in Unreal 5, known for horrendous performance? Aim feels like molasses even on the lowest settings with a RTX 3090, the style isn't my cup of tea at all but it's a game first, and it feels awful to play. As expected of Australian Gov funded slop.

Perspective of a VSRG veteran, haven't gotten more than 10 misses on the hardest difficulties, all S clears or FC. I don't care about the story for this review, just the gameplay. It's a mobile rhythm game ported to PC, not Elden Ring.

- No bugs gameplay wise
- Lack of basic features, QOL oversights make many things a little annoying
- Touch capable UI looks very not good on large displays.
- Why is this almost 18 GB...
- Bright blue and white color palette is not my cup of tea personally, it gets visually straining to look at on a large monitor.
- The forced story is frustrating after completing songs.
- It's 2024, how does a MOBILE GAME port not have support for over 1080p? Most phones are far above 1080p. It's Unity, a potato can run Unity games. If there's performance issues, look into why. Just seems like corners were cut to meet a deadline.
- The key count switching works on mobile, but dear god it doesn't work on PC. 2 feet from my 27" monitor and I can barely tell it changed from how wide the columns are. Needs visual changes to be more comfortable for new players on PC.

Osu is free, download that and see how PC vertical scrolling rhythm should be. If you're going to port a SINGLEPLAYER rhythm game, at least do your research. It can be a good VSRG, but no effort was put in besides mapping keybinds to the buttons.
