Ok, im gonna break it down for everybody.

Game is locked to 60fps if you have ryzen 5 of any kind. And requires 8 cores 16 threads to unlock 120fps. Game keeps pushing visuals, and optimization keeps getting worse. To the point nowadays if I do not use lossless scaling 3x, then the game regularly triggers LFC on my VRR monitor. Which makes input lag quite bad.

AFMF 2.1, and in game frame gen...are horrible. The game runs so poorly, im actually thinking of dropping it. Because of just how badly it runs and is optimized.

Game smoothness, should ALWAYS come first over visuals. If you cant make a mobile game run good on PC. Then you dont need to be pushing out visual updates, that push the envelope.

AMD 9000 series 600 dollar gpu. 10 months after launch, no ray tracing support. And horrible performance worse than my old 5700xt. And...we're talking 10 months after release. On a gpu i get 120fps+ on cyberpunk at max settings with rt enabled.

There is no excuses that will do. They keep pushing things further, and making the game worse and worse performance wise. And they need to take 2 months if need be, and actually optimize this game somehow so people can play it smoothly. Smoothness is KING when it comes to video games. Nobody wants a stuttery slideshow and issues when playing your game. Needs fixed badly.

Just take the time Kuro, it needs it so badly. I cant even stress it enough. People are dropping the game left and right because of the ridiculously bad optimization. And ignoring of the problem by Kuro, while also pushing the visuals further, making the problem even worse!

Overall, i would AVOID this game, unless you really really hate yourself. For the endless optimization issues alone, not even mentioning 1 char+weapon can cost you upwards of 600 dollars if you luck is bad. Yeah no. Just save your sanity. And play something else. Its really just not worth your time. Unless you just like to waste loads of money, and have performance issues literally all the time.

Getting LFC "only triggers below 48fps, WHILE im using 2x frame gen. Means drops go as low as 23/24. Pretty inexcusable. And im considering quitting until they actually put some work into what is needed to keep it running smoothly. Instead of just making a new character and asking me for my rent money.

Game is not finished. But I just bought a new gpu, a 9070. And decided to buy a new game to try.

Boy, was that ever a mistake. Maxing out a brand new 600 dollar gpu, at 100% usage, for 1440p 60fps...is just not ok. Even at quality settings, not even fully maxed out.

If anyone knows Ark survival evolved, and how the resolution scale worked there. Its similar in this game. If you want to play it with sharp graphics that look like native, you're going to need a monster 3000+ dollar PC. Otherwise, I wouldnt even consider this until its optimized better.

So, im not too much into the game. Only 5 minutes or so. But i normally play healers in online games. Cleric ect.

That being said, the only 2 healer weapons you can use. Are a fan, and an umbrella. Which are all fancy and feminine type weapons. Sure, its probably a cultural thing. But i cant take it seriously as a guy using a fan or umbrella as a weapon.

In contrast, if i play cleric with a massive set of armor, mace and shield. It feels just more manly.

I refuse to be locked into prancing around with a fan and umbrella to play as a healer. Straight up refuse. Seems like a fun game, but this 1 thing I just cant look past. You dont have to be a fancy pants man, to be a healer. And thats just the only option in this game. So its a write off for me on that alone, even tho the game looks and plays amazing from what I have played. I cannot overlook this.

Game is pretty dead. Warfare at 8am, half filled lobbies or waiting for 5 minutes without finding a match. Desync and terrible servers. The most horrible cash shop iv ever seen in a f2p game in all my years. Cheating problems ect.

It had potential, truly it did. At its core its a pretty fun game. The guns and gunplay are great. Especially the gun customization. But goodness, the servers make it such a frustrating experience. And it just doesnt have the playerbase to sustain the warfare mode.

The extraction mode, is where most people stay at it seems like. But considering the cheating problem. And the fact that gives you something to lose. And there is RMT going on online over it. The world chat in NA being mostly symbol named people ect. Just nah. Im pretty checked out.

Game is literally a time sucking job. I only played it for like the first year it was out. And you can see how many hours I have, in how much time it takes to do your dailies, and weeklies, and anything else extra you want to accomplish.

You dont just do things on 1 character, you need a roster of 6 people just to keep upgrading on 1. The level up events and stuff help with getting a new character up to your roster level. But overall, its just far too time consuming and it does not respect your time.

All mmorpgs to me nowadays, are games that basically have a chore list. I have played so many over the years. And always end up being disappointed when it comes down to more chores. And for chores, it doesnt get any more laborious than Lost Ark. I would never touch this game again, even if it is the most fun combat action mmorpg I have played. The chores, are just far too much.

And this isnt even touching on the fact that, paying for a bus is easier than actually playing the game. As the high level stuff, 1 shot mechanics will wipe. And all it takes is 1 mistake by 1 person. Making them a slog, and quite unfun repetitive chores that can be punishing to learn. But even more punishing when someone is bad at the game.

Overall, it had potential to be better. There is no perfect game, but the time consuming nature of it. Makes it more like a job. And i cant recommend it. I logged in some months back just to look around, and its gotten even more complicated with more chores now.

Some people will keep playing, if there is things they can do. And this game, you will be hard pressed to even keep up with a basic 6 man roster. But you will absolutely need to do it, if you want the gold to be able to try and upgrade.

But when they release basically a whale only scaling weapon, that gives some mega power advancement. Thats where I draw the line and say no more. 12 hours a day pretty much for like the better part of the entire year it came out. But unless you're willing to devote your life, and your wallet, its just a punishing chore list. That keeps growing the more things are added.

Not much if any aim assist for controllers. Seeing as its a cross platform game. This will lead to k/m players dominating everybody else by a large margin. I would avoid it if you play controller.

Insanely fun game, went super mega gangbusters for a reason. If you're on the fence about it, stop questioning yourself and get it. Its a great time, especially with friends.

Invaluable tool for the tool box. Especially if you have an older gpu like myself.

Hogwarts legacy as an example. I can easily go from 85ish fps on my 5700xt at med/high settings at 1440p upscaled fsr 2 quality. To 165 fps with fsr that keeps the TAA so no shimmering stuff, and looks better along with doubling my framerate. Highly recommend this tool.

The patch that added official mod support. Also broke 3rd party mods. And while yes, thats not a deal breaker. And its fully playable even with the ridiculous volumetric fog they force into everything even inside. Even small visual changes, the game actually detects and shuts itself down because you're using non official modding sources.

I cant in good conscience recommend a game. That messes up volumetric fog so badly. And then proceeds to take away the only available way to fix it without disabling the fog in the game entirely. Its just bad decisions by suits who have no idea what they are doing, not the devs or the gamers who work for them. But high up suits who make decisions they think will be good, but in reality arent cause they're wiping out 99% of the modding communities work.

Idk why games keep making these bonehead decisions years after launch. If the game has a healthy modding community, they should work to make it easier for them to extend the lifespan and fun of the game. But over and over again, these big companies just make it harder for us, and take away our toys.

You cant force the game not to update. You cant revert to an older version and choose to play on that. You can download a steam depot version via steam console, and change a file to look like its the most up to date. Oh but, another update. Now your entire thing is broken again.

These companies really need to finish games before launch. And then just keep their hands off of them. I can understand fixing issues. But if its a finished product, it shouldnt have any issues to begin with. This will be the last, and i mean last game I buy new. Because these companies dont finish till years later.

I didnt even mention that their updates have wiped out my graphics options menu, its blank, been that way since the modding update.

The only option I have to be able to use the Ultra Fog mod, is to download an older version, or something else. I like video games, I hate the state of modern gaming.

Calling this an idle game, is a stretch.

There is multiple things, to keep you playing it, and its pretty mind numbing after a while.

This game is more like a mobile game that keeps you coming back to do your hourly, and dailies. And its just not truly an idle game if it forces you to engage with it outside of like, upgrading and then going back idle.

Cookie clicker, it aint. I would avoid it unless you just want something to click the mouse with while you watch tv.
