I gave this controller a chance, and overall I like the Xbox One controller a lot more even though to get the Xbox One Controller hooked up and working was harder than the steam controller.

Pros of Steam Controllers:
In game control customization is AMAZING

Cons of Steam Controller:
Extrememly annoying to use for 3rd person games, were you have to move the camera quickly.
Not nearly as comfortable as the Xbox One Controller

Overall I believe the Xbox One Controller is a better purchase, even though it is $20-$30 more to buy one and the pc adapter. The Xbox One Controller is extremely comfortable, the two joysticks provide an accuracy that the Steam Controller tries to replicate, but ultimately falls miserably short.
