An absolute blast.

Major Shining Force vibes, and in every possible good way there is. I really like this game so far 12 hours in.

Easily the best RPG of my lifetime in sheer scope, quality, and enjoyability. Replayability is approaching infinite not even counting modding of the base game!

Multiplayer to boot - this game will be played for the next decade, at minimum.

I love this game a lot.

I love it up until about Curse Level 5 (I think it's called? The level where there's more Lords, more spires spamming AOE, etc.) as it's just an unending stream of red circles to dodge, and not enemies. It's barely even fun and spend more time dodging than fighting. It isn't like this until about Level 5 (V)

I had some of the most fun of this genre up until then and now I have barely any desire to play.

That said, this game is absolutely worth getting and will be a blast even at this stage for most people. I however just don't have fun playing "DODGE THE RED AOE CIRCLES" ad nauseam. The skillshots from Lords? Fine. The meteors, spires, and whatnot? There's simply too many. It's dumb.

Very rewarding gameplay at "Hard" levels, without being overly punishing and unnecessarily bloated. (such as inflated HP on enemies, rather than an actual difficulty increase)

Story is engaging, of course. This helps drive you to want to see what happens next, rather than skip dialogue to get to the action.

Simple concept

Dumb at first glance
Few minutes in and you're in love
Few hours in and you're obsessed
10 hours in and you wish you could marry it

The more you play the more you learn and all of the simplicity expands into complexity that you are given zero clues about up front.

This is easily the best handful of dollars I've ever spent and if development continues. This game deserves every ounce of praise that it gets.

The game is still riddled with minor bugs, ranging from annoying to irrelevant; but this is still a deeply satisfying storyline to progress through and the gameplay is fun.

Updated: Many patches have brought this game into a much more polished state. Still very much worth playing through the storylines.

This game is fairly difficult on normal. This is a good thing.

Decisions in combat matter. Redoing a battle several times is annoying, but the sense of satisfaction is amazing when you finally win.

The best of the Far Cry series, by far.

Chat channels are flooded with racism, bigotry, spamming of aforementioned bigotry and hate speech, and it is moderated by inept amateurs.

You will see children spamming all sorts of hate speech, but if you call those children uneducated, bigots, or racists; you will be mass reported by the same trolls. Yet they are never muted.

Rosie_GGG, Nick_GGG, Ruby_GGG, and others are incompetent ♥♥♥♥♥. (hard to remember all of their names, but these are the most inept of them all) since being bought by Tencent this game is absolute trash.

Spam "all muslims are rapists" and it's okay, but call that bigot an uneducated piece of ♥♥♥♥? Banned.

The mods support bigotry and racism.
