Legit the most fun I have had with a video game in a long time. Having a live game master is beautiful idea, this is something special. In-game currency is plentiful and the "battle passes" never expire, these are peak design decisions in a world of micro-transactions and other scummy corporate practices. (Most) Devs are passionate and listen to community feedback, they could tone down the nerfing of weapons. Sony can stay far away from this now please.

Risk of Rain Returns is truly a labor of love and what every remaster should strive for. The modern twists they add give life to the original game but do not take away any of the identify it was built off of. The pixel art is beautiful, the soundtrack is stellar as always, and the game play is addicting. Do yourself a favor and give this game a play, it is a rush like no other.
