Free weekend review.
tldr don't think i would even pay 3$ to play just for fun or keep to finish collecting everything.
here is the list why not.

-Story
the shortest / worst story of any nfs / racing game i remember, the only way they drag it out is by making you grind rep to X lvl and drive after the AI to listen to badly written dialog.

-Driving
the driving itself is fine BUT AI parked cars in the middle of the road and super cops that spawn on top of you at any difficulty isn't "hard" is just annoying and rushed design.

-Day/night and cars selection for races.
unable to pick a car for the race AFTER driving to it and needing to fast travel to the garage wait on load times just to switch to a drift car / off road car just to do X race and then redo all that to switch back. is by far them just pushing to extend the "game play" of no game play aka sitting waiting on load screens.

-progress
the need to upgrade cars and have different car for type of races it good but they way they setup the races selections and starts is terrible.
on top the added day and night split between cash for upgrades and rep for lvl is stalling progress.
even if you want to spam different races you need to drive to each and make sure you have the right car IF not its load times simulator to do the next new race.
cars selection is decent but there is no reason to unlock different cars to try cause the upgrades cost too much even if some of the carry over. also cough cough 911 rsr

-music
i think this is the worst sound track in major racing game i ever had to listen to.

-game breaking stuff AKA always online
during "solo" session i went to my garage to buy upgrades but due their servers being so terrible i was able to buy anything
so this is just a reminder that always online game.

IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS DO NOT PLAY THIS ON STEAM.
because you will have often disconnects, it will logout your google account and you can't use all the crypto/NFTs if you want to do so later.
The game is designed for phone to make you leave it there and farm ads for them and you get tokens for watching.
EVEN their own stand alone pc client where you can use 2 accounts at the same time doesn't gives you the option to watch ads to get tokens.
as far as current mobile to pc games atm this isn't the worse one.
BUT the only reason for this game is major p2w, crypto/NFTs and to make it people spend money the game is build on griefing and no its not PvP.

- The game lacks any HP and mana regen over time that is "free" instead it makes you spend resources to stock on potions that act as a HP and mana regen.
so you would just run out of mana and use basic attack until the potion would recharge some of it which most of the time barely enough for 1 ability and then it would be spend in half a second.
So there is no actual skill base combat in the first place.
So what they are calling PvP is getting griefed over resources or farm spots by higher lvl / geared players just cause they can. PLUS you actually lose exp and then need to spend your resources to buy it back. if you die from a npc or get griefed from a player.

Beside that the game lacks any ingame report options and is full of speed hackers farmers, bots and casual griefers.
- There isn't any way to catch up to players who spend money or who played for few months without actually buying a full on NFT i assume of a high lvl.
- Servers stability suffers from all the above and jumps around on from 60-400ms on a stable wired fiber connection.
- if you passed all that the majority of the game plays on its own as you select missions and click auto play and go do something else.

the reason i recommend it cause its something else to do, free and if you get high enough after while you can just sell your NFT.

"free to play" a very limited amount of content.
after linking a base destiny 2 account i logged in and was lost to what happened to my progress and it just spawned me on the new content story mission which i cant progress on unless i BUY the expansion.
so the free to play is pretty much a click bait here.

They forgot that the number one resource for a massive battle royal game is having players.

Never fixed anything that was promised since the beta.
-Broken servers
-software cheaters
-teaming cheaters
-terrible client instability from patch to patch.

-added 7 layers of cosmetics to the cashshop.

now they want 10$ / 30days split season instead of rewarding players who put time to max out their battle pass.

this is a classic EA where some dev managed to nail the gun play/ movement and some other stuff but then the other departments / management just warming up their chairs and want to maximize profits to seem like they are doing their jobs.

got this for free from chrono but dlc seems like a big scam for this.
even make it tricky with the bundle to seem like the only way to buy a dlc is to get the whole bundle and not X dlc at its given price.

Online has terrible problem with cheaters and few other problems with lobbies / loading.
^ still a problem years later
And the new rockstar "gold bar" gate on anything new and fun. <- got even worse.
pass that its still pretty enjoyable as a solo player.

Single player is insane even with a 10years old i5 and a 1070.
