Don't Buy. Long time veteran of the game. All the complaints are true, this game is the 2nd worst title in the series, 2042 being the worst. They may fix some things eventually, but they are busy trying to squeeze this turd for cash.

Such an upgrade from when I first purchased it. Space legs is great (walking on planets). Engineering is WAY less of a grind. And the game play is anywhere between chill and oh crap oh crap oh crap. Finding my first Alien thingy on a planet was amazing and scary as heck.

This is not a fast paced game but it is engaging. I actually enjoy parking my ship on planets and a moving space dock. I enjoy getting the correct angle to hit planetside.


In system, going 400K LS used to take several minutes. Now with the overcharged Frame Shift Drives (Light-speed travel) You can cut that time into tiny fractions.

Engineering has been decreased a lot too. Engineering is the way to get your credit purchased amazing gear even more amazing-er, and is needed for end game content. The DEVS added Material Traders so you can swap your materials around for what you need, So Much Easier!


I have:
-Driven a battle tank to an on-foot Combat Zone, fun had by all
-Hacked an enemy base with my SRV and then went full sale off a mountain in low-G, to avoid skimmer fire
-Bounty hunted pirate factions
-Straight up mercked an enemy player faction at war with my own
-Pulled an assassination target out of Super-Cruise (light speed) and blew him up.
-Teamed up with Power-Players and strafed a mega ship
-Infiltrated a base on foot and stole proprietary data.
-Cracked an asteroid for the shiny bits inside.
-Explored deep space and found an alien artifact


So, yeah, there is plenty to do and apace that makes you think about your next move.

Incredibly boring game.

Insanely easy, yet way too complicated. This game must be designed as some sort of time sink. You get rewarded for doing absolutely everything, for no good reason. You spend a lot of time navigating menus to collect nominal rewards and it's annoying.

Pretty fun and interesting concept. AI needs some work which the DEVS addressed in a recent AMA. I hope this game grows into something magnificent.

Choices to your load out matters
I haven't played COOP yet, but it is COOP
Voice over is good
World building is dark gritty and all messed up. Very atmospheric
Character models are pretty unique

Mid-
Gun play is fine
Character movement is goodish, the "dodge" button is hastily implemented
Graphics are fine

Bad-
AI currently sucks, bad AI ruins games, I hope it gets worked on
Some people don't like the water system, but I think it's fine.
Menu can be confusing at first, but it gets better. Still needs a pass.
Economy is weird, devs said they will do another pass after more metrics
Lots of wikia, the game does not explain much and finding answers can be hard.
Physics- tanks flying across the map, getting stuck on geometry etc.

Pretty fun.

Currently not for people with jobs, or dignity.
These games all turn out the same way. At first there will be a bunch of excited people playing. Then the no-lifers will run out of missions to do, or they will just resort to their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ nature. They will start camping exfils, they will start camping rare resources. They don't need the equipment, and it's not sporting. They are just ♥♥♥♥♥. That will drive away the normal players, and all that will be left are a bunch of losers ganking each other.

This bad behavior needs to be fixed, it can be fixed. Match make by gear score would be one way.

It probably won't be fixed, this studio won't make their margins because toxic players kill the game for everyone.

I'd like to explain what's wrong with the game in one sentence.

I tried to report a hacker and my game crashed.

Changing to a thumbs up. the community seems less toxic and the gameplay is improving.
