A Hat in Time is a treat. An homage to many a GameCube classic with gameplay that makes the collect-a-thon genre more bearable, but all the same keeps a flavour on its own. Plus it's adorable! 100 percent recommended!

Neat idea, but wish the choices would impact at least a bit more. "Emily will remember that."

What makes it great is nostalgia, though. Interface directly mimics Windows xp along with aim (remember those?), complete with sound effects. With each year on the chapter list you get a blast from the past in just-barely-identifiable pixel format. Movies, albums, whatever. The nostalgia is great.

It also has memes. Dank memes.
