I stumbled across a physical copy of this game at an indie game convention in a mall I randomly ran into. I picked up a copy since I thought that was a neat idea and the game ended up being a pleasant surprise! It is very much an arcade styled game, so the only real objective besides achievements is the high score board, but the music is good and the gameplay is simple and fun. Its fun to go back to for a little bit every now and then for a little bit and its cool that this steam version has gotten some updates like bug fixes and a global leaderboard that the physical version I bought doesn't have. Hopefully some of the money I spent on the physical copy I got at that convention makes its way back to the developers, because I think this is a pretty well made little game!

Early Access Review
I think there is a good game here, however, it is a good game with a handful of things that need to be worked out still. Which is perfectly fine for now as the game is set as early access likely for this very reason. The game play loop is fine and I would say its basically a small step up from something like RuneScape as the training feels a little bit more engaging. Still pretty simple, but I never found myself getting up to go do something else while training like I would in RuneScape.

There are a few changes that I think could greatly improve the feel of this game though. I would say firstly, that I don't like having to go to different locations to sell or store an item. It would be nice for all items to be allowed to be stored in any of the storage locations and offer an all purpose store to sell any item at, even if you sell the items for a little less or something there than you would at the dedicated store.

Another thing that bothered me while playing is the way the game visually presents itself. The way the game works visually is the world is loaded as chunks and the only one that shows NPCs/Players is the one you are currently in and you can't see other chunks until you have entered them. I don't have a problem with any of those things. The part I have a problem with is that, even if you've been to all the chunks around you, you can't visually see them if there is not a path that directly connects to them. So even though I've been to all the chunks around the one I'm in, if the chunk I'm in only has one path, I can only see one of the four chunks around me. It would be nice to have an option to always load all the chunks around you if you've been to them or something.

The last thing that is fresh on my mind that bothered me, was the prices of some of the items needed to progress. A quick example, the level 2 and level 6 items in the foraging skill require tools that are VERY expensive for players of those levels. I would say I got the levels to get those items in the first 30 minutes to first hour of playing, but it took an additional 3 hours to find and save up for the tools needed to forage the level 2 and 6 things. This resulted in me getting level 12 foraging before I was able to get these tools. It makes the pacing feel awkward, but this could be fixed with a simple repricing of those key tools.

Ultimately, the problems I have with this game are things that I can see being somewhat simple to fix, so I have high hopes of this game improving before it leaves early access. I recommend checking this game out and giving your own constructive feedback if this game has caught your interest. The ground work for a pretty fun MMO is here, and now is the time to share your ideas on how it can improve.

Originally bought for nostalgia since it seemed like the developer had sorta abandoned the project. HOWEVER! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they allowed members of the community to come in and help push for a much needed update to help the PC version of the game be WAY better! It hit the public release extremely recently adding online multiplayer at long last as well as bringing many more bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and small additions here and there! If you're worried about the old reviews saying the project is abandoned and buggy with no multiplayer, you can safely ignore those now. I don't know how long the game will keep getting updates, but it got the main important things already, so I'd say give the game a try now if you're curious. Its cheap to try and, at least currently, has a few caring community members still keeping the game going!

For some reason, they made the game worse than the beta after having 2 additional years to work on it. However, while I do personally believe it is worse than the beta, it is still a really good and really solid game if you get used to how it works now. Online is still lag free for me and I love that I can play the new PvE Rifts mode alone or with a friend. The main downsides are no longer having all characters in local play or in practice mode. These were essential features taken out for seemingly no reason. They weren't a problem in the beta so I don't see why they went out of their way to change them. The game play is also slower, which is a shame, because my favorite thing about this game besides the roster was the really fast and fun game play. These last two issues will probably destroy this game's shot at ever taking off in big competitive local tournament events, but other than that, it is still a super fun and solid game that most people will still enjoy.

This game still has a lot going for it with the super cool character roster, fun animations, not as good but still totally tolerable and fun game play, and most importantly, super generous with rewards, unlocks, and even premium currency. After getting off of how stingy Overwatch 2 is with its paid currency, it was such a pleasant surprise to see so many ways of getting the paid currency and unlocking things for free. I see people complain about it a lot, but it looks like you'll probably be able to get most of the non-cosmetic things you want with a handful of cosmetics thrown in here and there totally for free only after a few weeks of playing.

Still amazed that they made it worse than the beta, but I'm feeling pretty good about Player First improving these things in the future as they were really good with responding to player feedback during the beta as far as I saw. I 100% recommend this for anyone considering giving it a try. I mean, its free so why not try it and see if it is for you?

Despite Overwatch 2 making the wrong choice at literally every turn, I've stuck around because the game was still fun and a good game, despite not being as good as it used to be. With season 9, the game has finally earned my negative rating as I now am not just only not having fun playing, but I also get a migraine from playing. What originally was going to be an awesome season with a new competitive system and some new co-op stuff that I LOVE even though its dumbed down still, has been ruined by changes they made to LITERALLY EVERY CHARACTER. Support has had its kneecaps smashed in this update which has lead to two things. It is much more time consuming to top off teammates as support and as damage and tank, you just die instantly despite having more health and a self healing passive. The self healing passive means literally nothing in a fight. The increased health combined with damage being able to slow heals pretty much means only one person will be getting support in a fight, the tank since they're so important now. Hitboxes for projectiles are stupid big now so, even with the increased health, you die just as fast, if not, faster than you did before. I'll still stick around for the broken co-op stuff when it comes once a year or longer, but I think I may finally be near my end for PvP.

I killed zombies in Minecraft, Spongebob's Bikini Bottom, and a Taco Bell among many others. There is enough player created content for this game to last you and your friends forever.

It is super solid for playing games with a Dual Sense controller. I use this app every day and always have it open while my PC is on and the app hasn't crashed a single time for me or caused my system to chug. For me personally, I just don't have any of the issues that many of the negative reviews have described.

It takes a really long time to start up and and could do with being optimized since it is a much heavier program than it should be, but it hasn't impacted how smooth any of my games run for me. If all you're looking for is a program to let you easily use your Dual Sense controller in your games as well as take advantage of some of the unique features the Dual Sense controller has, this is a great option.

I've never been happier since they added Easy Anti Cheat to this game. Now I no longer have to worry about dealing with hackers in my favorite competitive game.
