Hey Sting? HEY STING?

WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥? THIS IS SO GOOD?

My friend and I were looking for more games for our friend group to play and stumbled across Viractal. I watched some F1 while playing the demo and realized this was solid, so I picked up the full game and had my friend grab it so we could play. 3 hours in and we're both blown away by how much fun it is. I bought it for my partner, and I look forward to whatever comes next. This is SO good.

Co-op roguelike boardgame with turn based strategy and deckbuilding.

Maniac ♥♥♥♥. Delightful game. 10/10.

Practice laptimes first and foremost so that you're not obliterating the back half of the field when you inevitably understeer off track and then pull off the worlds most unsafe rejoin.

This game is chaotic, hilarious, fun and everything you could want out of talking over each other nonstop for 3 minutes until someone ends the game with "The alphas will is law - THE PACK FEASTS"

I don't like tabletop 40K.

But I like this. Man I like this a lot. 21 hours of the last 48 were spent playing this game.

I have a problem.

I mad a roast beef charcuterie board so I didn't have to spend more time making a roast beef sandwich so I could play this game more.

I got a problem, man.

At the time of picking up this game - I had never heard of "Vampire Survivors." You'll probably hear that name a lot if you show this game to friends who have played Vampire Survivors.

I can't speak for Vampire Survivors - as up to the point of this review, I still have yet to play it. This game scratches an itch I didn't realize I had. I can't even begin to describe what kind of vibe this game has. There's truly no comparison that would make it work properly.

All I can say is that it's a cheap, simple, fun game that you can sink your teeth into and enjoy time and time again.

You can come up with builds for characters based on the equipment, spells and, character you use, and each of them feels distinct enough that you develop favorites for all three. Then you also have persistent skills that you can build on as you earn gold and levels. Unlockables feel consistent enough to not seem pointless to get to, and there's never a feeling that time spent was time wasted.

If you enjoy bullet hell games, if you enjoyed "Gauntlet", or if you enjoy Roguelikes, this game is in my opinion, a great choice.

Electronauts.

Oh Electronauts.

I spent almost nothing on this game. It was on a sale - and is as of this review on another crazy sale.
I expected some simple, silly, barely put together VR game. I expected something I'd put about 45 minutes into and then give up from frustration.

I was way out of line thinking this.

This game gives you the feeling that you're actually doing something, that you're actually the DJ, that you're putting on a show. I haven't felt this way since playing FUSER (which - although my Steam says I have only a couple hundred hours in - I do own the game outside of Steam and can guarantee hundreds if not a thousand or more hours into it), and it's something that music lovers of all walks can enjoy. People who don't understand music production, people who are early in the stages, people who *can* do music production - this game will still scratch an itch for a simple, fun, music game for everyone.

I have only put about 12 hours into this game as of this review and while that's less than I've put into a lot of other games I've reviewed, it's more than I was expecting to get.

If you see it on sale, I'd consider this a must have VR game.

Truthfully - the main downside that I can see with this game is also a brighter point in the sky for it as well - there is no tutorial to speak of; At least not one that really matters.

Most of what you do in Electronauts will be based on how you feel, what sounds good, and how you put it together. Experiment, test everything, find all the fun things you can, and mix and match beats, lyrics, and instrumentals at your own leisure to enjoy something you did yourself.

Once again - if you have VR, I consider this among the simple "must have" titles of VR. Cheap, fun, impressive, and easy to get into. Pick it up on sale for a massive boost to it's worth, or grab it off of sale because it's genuinely worth the money.

This game has a very low skill floor, with a very high skill ceiling. Absolutely phenomenal gameplay wise- and holds up relatively well visually to this day.

Having hit top 25 light mech pilots in the world a couple years back and having just over 350 hours on this account, with hundreds more on my former - I feel like I can say that the videos on the store page, the screenshots, and the trailer do not do the game justice. It's free. Download it, play it, enjoy it.

There are no pay to win tactics whatsoever. Yes, you can use real world currency to buy new mechs. Yes, those mechs are relatively powerful, but in the right hands, so is nearly every mech in the game. I pilot the lightest mech in the game and have an absolute blast when doing so, usually netting close to 1k damage (normally a decent amount) almost every game.

Everything about this game comes down to skill and playstyle preference. Teamwork is a must. Silly tactics that have zero teamwork can and will lose games for you.

The community is dying slightly - as Faction Play has lost a lot of luster unless you have two opposing clans fighting it out over a planet, but the main multiplayer has less of a wait than some ranked modes of Halo Infinite.

Go stomp people.
