Your entire interface sucks, every single menu feels awful to use on controller and handling the ship is a chore because you decided it should move like a boat. Your character customization was such a nightmare to navigate it wasn't even worth trying. Combat feels bad and not fun after the first two fights. I had texture pop-in like an Unreal Engine 3 game with a Radeon 7900 XTX and it felt like the framerate was Not Happening. Language defaulted to Italian for reasons I do not understand.

Maybe this will be worth five bucks in three years but I've already asked Steam for a refund because my income is too limited to just let 18 dollars sit on the table.

I have three complaints exactly: One is that the crane game for merch is bad. The second is that the vendors don't restock and I've already exhausted the world's supply of onigiri and bar snacks. The last is that there's not enough of the rest of the game. I want more in-depth mascot wrangling, more characterization and interaction with my misfit spirit-creatures. More stats, more card battling, more numbers, more Of This in general.

I appreciate that I can collect more cards and can now grind on the guard rails. That's fun.

Boy howdy does this game break when you look at it wrong.

Also lmao at 'new official controller support' that doesn't even read analog input and can't read D-pad or face buttons half the time.

Also I've had to play through the start of the game twice, once because it broke during dialogue and once because it broke after creating the first cosplay and frankly, that's enough. I don't know what the hell is wrong with Behold but as a kickstarter backer I'm severely disappointed with this.

EDIT: That offer was discontinued last december and they just didn't tell anyone. What a waste of time.

The postgame difficulty curve is nonsense but everything leading up to it is fine. Don't feel bad about dropping it once it introduces Megaton Rank. That's just not even fun anymore.
