Exceptional tactical game with tons of depth and complexity. Rogue-lite game with tons of replayability. Lots of difficulty levels, goals, achievements, and other objectives to keep things feeling fresh. Worth every penny.

One of the most engaging puzzle games I've ever played. This deserves to be in the hallowed company of games like Myst and Portal. Brilliant in its difficulty, elegant in its mechanical simplicity, wonderous in its depth of mystery and hidden secrets. If you like puzzle games, play this NOW. O======>

Amazing philisophical puzzle game with strong Portal-like elements and a brilliant difficulty curve from straight-forward to absurdly complex hidden meta-puzzles. Worth it and then some. Buy it. Play it.

The game's bones are solid, a fun mix of stealth and FPS, lots of creative and innovative map design, generally solid and interesting weapon dynamics though the balance has always been suspect. That said, the bare bones game is relatively small and everything else is behind a paywall. Whats worse the company that develops this game and their publishers have consistently upped the ante with more pay to win mechanics, first the initial purchase, then tons of DLC addons, and now microtransaction skins that are randomized and affect stats. All this while trying to pretend that they're still independent and supportive of their community. They're behaving like EA and Ubisoft while trying to convince people that they're a little studio working out of someone's garage trying to keep their employees fed. Introducing microtransactions like CS:GO's (cases drop, buy a key for 2.50 to open it, and the rare gear is exceedingly rare) that actually affects the stats of weapons is pay to win and trying to play it off to the community like that isn't pay to win and holding a straight face like there isn't an obvious disconnect is beyond discouraging for a company that otherwise generates a very well designed core game. I can't give a positive rating to a game that so shamelessly nickels and dimes it's community then throws it in their face without even the slightest bit of remorse when they're called out on it.

Short, fun game. Finished it in one sitting, tempted to go back and get all completionist on it. It's a cute game with a very effective atmosphere. As others have said it's one of those better played than explained situations.

I am recommending this game but I'm reluctant to because of some things that I feel should have been fixable.

<CRITICISM>

First criticism: As far as I could find there was no native controller support. Sure I could Joy2Key it or something and if I were to go back to 100% it I most certainly would do that but if you're going to charge money for a platformer in this day and age you should support at least the bare minimum of controllers.

Second criticism: If you AREN'T going to support controllers (or even if you do really) either make sure your mechanics are really smooth and satisfying or don't rely on cheap tricks like long jumps you have to make with a block above you while enemies loom ready to intercept you. That's just one example and in the greater scheme I'm saying either get creative with how you create challenge or tone it down a bit. This game was surprisingly unforgiving and frustrating and it really took away from the atmosphere after a while.

In a way it felt like it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a Mario/Super Meat Boy style experience or whether it wanted to be a Braid style experience. I feel like it would have been a better game if it had chosen Puzzles and Atmosphere or Unforgiving Platformer and spent more time polishing whichever one they chose.

</CRITICISM>

With all that said, the game wasn't long enough to get extremely mad at and was cheap enough that that didn't bother me. The atmosphere and scenery made up for the lackluster mechanics and overall it was a great way to spend a bit of time. I do recommend you pick this title up, especially if you catch it on a sale. Happy gaming and stell'bsna n'gha...
