Great game if you ignore the story mode
First things first, the campaign is just not that good, there's a handful of good songs on there, but those are few and far between. The boss fights are nearly identical to each other, and the NecroDancer, THE FINAL BOSS, is debatably the easiest out of them all.
Now that the story mode is out of the way: the good.
As of the time of writing this, there have been plenty of collaborations for fans of their respective IPs, or those who just want more Rift. As of now, there are bonus songs from Celeste, Super Meat Boy (a personal favorite), Pizza Tower and Hatsune Miku. I have not experienced all of this bonus content, but what I have experienced has been great fun.
And now that the official content has been covered, the great: the workshop
This game has a workshop full of content from a huge range of artists &/or bands, almost anything for almost anyone, and if your favorite song isn't there, the included Rift editor is not the hardest thing to learn how to use.

This game is great but not without flaws, the aforementioned campaign should not be the sole reason you may purchase this game, but if you want a rhythm game with some cool official content and a somewhat easy to use song maker, this game is pretty much perfect for you.

dude ive already died like 30 times but i wanna play more before i decide if thats my fault or the games. Edited, I don't understand it, the game is somehow more luck based than the binding of isaac, i keep dying at around the same spot and am not unlocking anything new to make this easier, combine this with the fact that this game is almost entirely luck based, the same thing always happens, i get to stage 6, and die from (really common) horrible luck. i genuinely feel you would have more fun gambling in a casino and losing all your money would be fun, because you atleast had a higher chance of something new and captivating happening, if you want a GOOD card game with roguelike elements, go buy Inscryption, would not reccomend

its a good game to play with someone on discord if you want
its actually a really good game try it out

kinda just overrated
its essentially just a rhythm game with one control, and all the levels that came with the update that made it possible to make an actual platformer level are just jokes based around a meme that lasted 2 weeks
