Okay, sure.

The tie in weapon, which is just a variant of an already existing mediocre full auto pistol, is pretty lame.
For such a high profile tie-in character to be already brought back so soon, I think a new weapon would have given the overall package that little bit of more oomph it needed.
Does include a new "overkill" weapon of sorts, so it is beyond just Jacket himself.

They added visible health bars to enemy cops. Why does seemingly every modern game have to stoop to this level?

"Ohhh you can disable that in the settings." Doesn't change the fact that the game will now have to implement whatever future updates around this feature. The game is now MEANT to be played this way. It's such an immersion killer.

If I wanted my gun to do mathematics I'd go play Destiny 2 or some other rediculous game.

Uninstalled until I hear word that they removed this feature. I'm here to feel like a bank robber, not some night elf doing fireball attacks on enemy warlocks or whatever.

Base pre-update review below:

Helps cure my Apex Legends addiction.

frfr tho, here's a bunch of random points about the game in no specific order:

-At it's core, it's a more refined Payday experience, more precisely in terms of gameplay. It does feel rougher around the edges, generally speaking, and definitely seems lesser in terms of content quantity, but hey, Payday 2's had like 10 years to amass the amount of heists its got.
-Some levels have got some pretty lame gimmicks (stand around circles to "hack" the security system, which GTFO does too yet it doesn't feel as contrived when it does it?). They've definitely gotta improve on that with further levels.
-Music is pretty boppin'.
-Graphics and gameplay took a step up.
-The soft reboot-ness that it introduced, definitely needed. There were many reasons why I stopped coming back to Payday 2, on of the reasons being that there was so much to come back to, it was overwhelming and turned me off.
-I am already getting fatigued by the current roster of levels, and I haven't even finished them all. They should def consider bringing back the RNG elements to the heists. Small changes adds a lot of unknowns for replays, which is good for long term attention sustainment.

A big realization is that many aspects of Payday 3 are done better than in Payday 2, and having played some Payday 2 again (on the switch, granted) AFTER playing Payday 3, Payday 2 plays a bit more archay-ich and rudimentary. However, despite Payday 3 scoring better in each separate element, as a whole package, Payday 2 made a bigger bang of an experience. To its credit, Payday 3 is in its infancy compared to Payday 2, especially now (and I'd say it took Payday 2 some time to really feel solid, until they drove that truck off a bridge) with all its got. But, to consider the upsides, we live in an era of "Live Service". Payday 3 will be different in a year from now, and I have faith that Payday 3 will be moulded into a better experience. But like, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, love the new soundtrack but there's something otherworldly about Simon Viklund's music that isn't on the table here. Not to discredit the soundtrack of Payday 3!

Small details like friggin animations to bag items or to remove drills. Going back to Payday 2, these are some well done changes. Really makes me I M M E R S E D.

I like the direction that they are taking the franchise currently. More grounded, yet not completely abandoning the notion of SOME absurdism (main example: leaving in the crazy weapons but making them "Overkill weapons". Keeps them in the gameplay loop while not outclassing your standard guns). Payday 2 became a lot less fun when I realised that they turned a quasi authentic bank robbing experience it into an MMO fps, in that you need to get the gun that shoots the biggest numbers, and then add the thing to give your gun even bigger numbers to more effectively kill the bad guys with the big number health bar. Totally ruins the immersion. Payday 3 doesn't have to be the dark knight of bank robbing games, but I definitely like it when my bank robbing game feels somewhat attached to reality. Otherwise why play a bank robbing game when I can't get a basic level of immersion out of it? Might as well go play Halo, or GTA.

Now I will somewhat counteract with all I said by addressing the newest to come DLC: Jacket.
Not that I inheritely dislike the idea, but this feels like something that shoulda been held off for a little bit more? But whatever, Starbreeze needs to turn Payday 3 into something that makes the charts go up and green. They've gotta sink or swim babeee, and if this will help, then I'm for it. Seems to keep the status quo somewhat uncomplicated so far.

They keep making this game worse.

I am not a fan of the change from EVO Shield to Shield Core (and basically all changes introduced in season 20).

The core gameplay is absolutely euphoric, however. Truly the apex of FPS games.

Lots of guns that are in the vanilla game outclass the ones in this pack. Well, except for the grenade launcher. But even then, there are better options.

Not really worth it.

This game seems to be a 'in the moment' type of game.
At first you will be trying to get used to the feel of the game. After a couple of hours, you will get the hang of it and start enjoying yourself.
Then 2 weeks later, Payday the heist goes on sale and you start to regret your decision.

The thing is, this is not a (really) bad game.
The unbalanced cluster f**k matches are really fun. But the game is flawed and there is simply no longer support for it.
I have found games that are better than this for free. Tremulous is a great game, for example. It is similar to Primal Carnage, except it's aliens vs humans.

I am starting to loose my train of thought for this review, So I will simply give a quick rundown about this game.
Although flawed, it can be very enjoyable.
The fact that this game is no longer supported, does hurt it's playability.
You won't have a hard time finding players online, but the numbers are starting to decrease.

I can't really recommend it at full price, but buy it on sale and you will enjoy yourself.

CS:GO Review
It takes me a full clip to kill a man that is 2 meters away from me.
It takes me 3 bullets to kill a man that is 20 meters away from me.
I get obliterated within seconds.
No one plants any bombs in demolition mode.
Encountering a Russian feels like encountering a Shiny pokemon.
Man yelling Allahu Akbar is hilarious!

Would play Counter-Strike Source again.
