Dying Light: The Beast is in no way crossing groundbreaking new features over the other games, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, does this game go absolutely hard.

The raw and core gameplay in this game is super solid, I think the chimeras were a unique addition, and I think that the beast mode is a fun mechanic.

But where I really think The Beast shines is in it's story, albeit, past a certain point. Throughout most of the game I didn't expect the story to wow me, and it certainly didn't, it felt cheesy and some of the writing just sounds off.

The ending though, wow, I mean just wow, that mission really blew me away and I suddenly felt extremely engaged in the story. As for bugs, I encountered a few, nothing game-breaking, and while I personally had some performance hiccups, they were resolved with a few changes in the graphical settings.

Overall, it was fun, engaging and brutal.

£50 does sound steep, but honestly, I think the developers deserve the money for what they've pulled off here.

Good dlc really enjoyed the fights and challenges. Worth the 8 pounds
