DID YOU USE ANY REFERENCE IMAGES FOR THE MODELING PROSSES?

If you want the easier method, I recommend trying to take the TF2 muzzleflash model, putting it into blender, fiddle around with the textures and once you get that texture, you can try replacing the existing one for the muzzleflash (basically go through the whole reskin process), and once you are happy with the design, you can play around with the scaling feature by controlling the XYZ scales independently. This MAY require to make a separate model to reorganize the location, but if you want to make a cheaper powerup controller, I recommend using that as a starter. The animation used in the anime are basically two frames so all you need to do is replicate that sort of animation. Okay, thanks for clarifying who specifically you are and what exactly you wanted from my recommendation. On the case of the blood model, if the model and is a flat mesh face, then just rigging the vertices with bones would be fine. If you wanted to be more experimental, try giving a bit more freedom for animating the splatter bits and repositioning bits of them so we can use. I am not sure how you made your splatter model, thus I made my recommendation based on the assumption this was a flat face mesh.

Rather than leaving you confused, I will give you a start.
1) Rigging usually refers to a skeleton you can manipulate in Blender and in Source Filmmaker.
2) IK Rigs, which are present in the workshop, are lines of code that allow for automatic bone manipulation relative to how you rotate and translate a key bone. This is something you also see in Source Filmmaker which is supposed to make it easier to do a lot of the posing for you, only for your job to be to edit it as you please.

If you want more detailed information about it, there are the Valve Wikis and some SFM related websites to give you some background.

Rigging comes in a variety of forms, most notable of which include the standard armature skeleton rigging, and the IK/FK rigging (in other words, automated rig control). Rigging can really apply to anything that is able to be manipulated in realtime, but I want to make it clear that rigging in terms of Blender and SFM, at least for what I am focused on involves the two notable methods I just shared.

Yeah.. the imported is limited and very picky, but at the same time it stops a lot of people from going way overboard with texture sizes and triangle count.

To continue what Dilly and Questionable was talking about, the reason why weapons and warpaints are excluded is because the uploder simply doesn't support it. Gold star can only be gained by using the importer meaning only items and taunts can actually have it. Without the gold star certification, items have little chance of getting in if at all.

If no luck with Seds, I am also aware Pte Jack and Maxxy knowing quite a bit about HWM. Maxxy has a .bat file that actually allows for programming HWMs to behave like in normal TF2 characters, at least to my knowledge. I am more aware of the physical tax of modelling every single bit.

Well I certainly agree with your proposition to share ideas and stuff. The ultimate modeling I want to explore on is HWM character modeling. For a while now I've been saving money aside in hopes to eventually talk with ✨SediSocks✨ on teaching me possibly in person as we both live somewhere in the UK. I'd do the travelling of course. I also want to see if I can ask this person if they'd teach me for free and if not that's what my money aside is for. So far I've not talked with this person as I'm still saving to a set budget as I want to be ready for anything.

Hey Velbud, have been out of the SFM community for a while. So sadly won't be able to give you any input on the omnilight approach. We tried out various things when porting the dota 2 maps but to be honest, it is way too long back to recall what we tried and what we didn't.

Truth is I am reaching a point where modeling and animation may end up being a hobby that I must retire as well. I am heading towards my major requirements and need to focus more than I did before on school. I want to get a lot of cool projects done but due to my major clashing with my hobbies, I had to give a lot up. That is why I was and still am sad.

Hey Dover,

I am sad for a few reasons:
1) I have a conflict between my life goals outside of the SFM community and those within. Worst case scenario is my goals are never realized and I may end up having to leave SFM on a temporary or even permanent hiatus.
2) I have been trying to fix relations between my ex and I, which is a struggle. However, the things this does to a person...
3) Generally, I am bored and hit an artist block, cant really critique people because I have been giving feedback and wanted to give some people a more accurate understanding of what they are doing wrong, when they keep making the same mistakes.
4) I am just a very sad boi, and I realize a couple of these are selfish. I just need to get myself out of the mentality of getting gratification from helping people.

TL;DR I am sad because I may ultimately have nothing happier to do. It's not fun doing an activity alone.
