Clair Obscure Expedition 33 PS5 - yea well deserved game of the year

Arc Raiders PC - I was surprise at how much i enjoy this game! The perfect solo-queue online game for me. I've gotten killed while extracting, while holding something valuable, but I've also encountered some really cool interactions with the strangers in the game that I have never experienced in any other game before. For that I think this game will be a regular in my gaming cycle

Blue Prince PS5 - A run base puzzle game. Crazy but it works so well! This may be the first time I actually took notes for a video game lol. Taking screenshots and saving them on my iPad to refer back to was surprisingly immersive. I would review the notes/pics I took while I was not even playing the game and would find the answer. I will say that the randomness can get in the way at times when you just want to focus on trying out a solution. But it was definitely worth the playthrough.

Ball x Pit Steam Deck - A great game to do run here and there during lunch break or before bed. Easy to pick up and feels pretty satisfying each match.

Hades 2 Steam Deck - Just as good as the first one!

Monster Hunter Wilds PS5 - This was the game for me earlier in the year. I want to go back and get the rest of the trophies for the platinum (Gold crown farming 😭)

Baldur's Gate 3 PC - Once again on this list because we did a EVIL + Honor mode playthrough. I did a Throwing Giant Astarion and my friends played as Shadowheart, a brocolli Bard, and Dark Urge. Shout out to the invincible lute

Last of Us Part 1) PS5 - Never played the OG on PS3, played the remastered on PS4 up until Pittsburgh then got too scared to play. Finally finished the game for the first time with the remaster/remake. I definitely have been playing too much open world games because I really like how tight the pacing and how short the game is. You get the perfect balance of action gameplay and exploring the world. This makes me appreciate the more curated linear games that does not dilute the quality with too much things to do. Sometimes you just gotta be good at the one thing

Battlefield 6 PC - Good o'l online shooting game. I really miss Levolution from Battlefield 4. The destruction from that game was amazing even back in the two Bad Company games. At least it plays well and fun enough to play for a couple hours.

Diablo 4 PC / PS5 - yea idk what happened haha. It was on PS+ sometime this year so I tried it on PS5. Since I played the game on PC when it came out, all of the characters transfer over as well as some of the trophies. So of course, I had to platinum it! Then at the end of the year, the new expansion was announced along with the Paladin class that can be played RIGHT NOW!!! Class is good. Season 11 is good.

2024 Games

Divinity 2 - with friends playthrough! looking forward to what we playthrough in 2025
Fallout 76 - for some reason, I fired this up on the PS5 and really enjoyed my time! I bought it when it came out and fell off but all the updates and changes and actually being 60FPS made it more enjoyable
Animal Well - Bubble wand is one of the most unique way to do a "double jump"
Concord - on the PS5. I will miss you! This game really hooked me in in a way I did not expect. I would be excited to play it in a way I have not felt in a very long time. I also met some of the most dedicated trophy hunters trying to get that level 100, and actually getting it before the server shut down!

Astro Bot - clean, tight, charming, nostalgia, platformer, game of the year
Balatro - 2024 year of the Balatro
Helldivers 2 - looking forward to firing this up every now and then
Pacific Drive - 2024's most atmospheric game
Crime Scene Cleaner - Powerwash Simulator with a bit more story
Shogun Showdown - when I had enough of Balatro, I switch over to this game or the next on the list.
Ballionaire - just before 2024 ends this banger of a game comes out and is just as fun as Balatro.

2023 Games

Baldur's Gate 3 (with friends playthrough!!)
Hitman 3 Freelancer update (one of the best update any game has ever had)
Marvel Snap (I got really into this during August - October highly recommended PvP card game)
Roboquest (tight movement tight shooting, robots beep boop)
Dead Island 2 (for such a troubled development cycle it was actually pretty good!)
Spiderman 2 (it was nice to see rehabilitated villains!)
Steam Deck OLED (what a great piece of device for going through backlogs)
PSVR 2 (after getting prescription lens insert, this is an absolute banger for VR gaming.)
Diablo 4 (it hasn't hooked me as much as Diablo 3, but I still level a character each season)
Deceive Inc. (had a great time playing this with my brother)
Inkbound (very good contender my Slay the Spire replacement)

- Binding of Isaac: Repentance (still trying to get tainted characters!)
- Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
- Hitman 3 (can't wait for Year 2 content with RTX)
- Super Auto Pets 🐕 (great one more turn game)
- Teamfight Tactics (got back into the game with the help of friends)
- Back 4 Blood (I miss L4D, and this was a fun one to play)
- Forza Horizon 5 (nice relaxing game to fire up while listening to a podcast)
- Cookie Clicker (my first 1000 hour "game". eventually cheated for the achievements as it was eating up my mind and I could not play other games without constantly thinking of it)

- Marvel's Guardian of the Galaxy (I'd like to see more superhero game at this quality)
- Psychonauts 2 (what a sequel!)
- Nioh 2 (need to get back into it and finish it, but the combat and loot shower is really fun)
- SNKRX (snake + TFT + dope soundtrack = banger)
- Gunfire Reborn (great gunplay and variety of weapons)
- Ziggurat 2 (does not do anything new in the roguelite area, but for some reason this game clicked with me)
- Curse of the Dead Gods (like last year's Hades, but slower)
- Dyson Sphere Program (I didn't get far enough to travel to other planets. Will definitely check back in once in a while when a big update drops)
