Early Access Review
Silksong is already out, and when GTA 6 finally drops, I bet we’ll still be stuck in Early Access here.

I started Blasphemous with great curiosity but was seriously disappointed within a few hours.

Character Control and Combat System: The character feels overly clunky. The controls are limited to a single attack button, a simple parry, a roll, and drinking a flask. The parry is too easy, and the combat mechanics feel shallow. The platforming sections are unnecessarily difficult, turning what should be fun into a chore.

Sense of Progression: Instead of feeling like I was progressing, I constantly hit walls and felt forced to push through. Things like the true ending are completely hidden; if you play the entire game without a guide, you automatically lock yourself into a bad ending. This feels less like good design and more like setting a trap for the player. After 9 hours, I realized I had already missed the true ending. Should I have had to read a guide just to not have the sense of discovery killed?

Lore and Storytelling: The visuals are magnificent, but the story presentation is a complete mess. It feels like a much cheaper imitation of the Dark Souls-style "everything is vague, you fill in the rest" approach. The game tries to seem philosophical and deep but ends up with a fragmented, scattered, and incomprehensible narrative. You have to go to YouTube to actually learn the story, and if you don't ask YouTube which path to take, you'll get the wrong ending—which you end up doing anyway. So why did I even play the game?

Overall Impression: This game feels like it was made in the shadow of Dark Souls and lacks originality. It captures the shell of a Soulsborne game but not the soul. The atmosphere is initially captivating, but the simplistic mechanics, the convoluted narrative, and the secret rules that constantly ambush the player make for a frustrating experience.

In short, it's not worth the time for a few nice visuals and a good atmosphere. If you want a Souls-style game, there are much better options out there.

Additionally, the lack of a Turkish localization is another drawback.

Hands down the most overrated game of all time. Even for a 2015 remaster, it is a total cringefest. I’m not even talking about the crashes or the damn gameplay. This game is famous for its 'great story,' but I honestly don't get the hype—the narrative goes completely off the rails. People must be delusional. I’m not even mad about the price; I just regret the time I wasted.
