Short answer: Addiction.
Longer answer: I've played since the closed beta and always enjoyed it. Real easy to grind while listening to music, podcasts etc. I also made some videos for the game. Think I got 4k hours in actual mission time, probably a few hundred of those steam hours were spent just downloading updates.
