I have been playing Age of Wonders since I was a kid.
This fourth installment is great, they obviously toned down a lot of experimental stuff they tried with AoW:Planetfall.
I have a few critiques, though:
The game is too visually cluttered and it lacks readability, especially during battles. This has been the case since Planetfall; AoW3 was fine and the first two titles, obviously, were fine.
Clarity is a big issue for a game in this genre, I find myself dreading to do battles manually and the auto-battle isn't exactly smart, just yesterday it lost a battle for me where I had the advantage and none of the enemy units died. I did the battle manually, instead, and won. Even though I think they reworked it a bit, this still happens often and, while some randomness is fair, it's often just not smart enough. Units like the Astral Keeper always seem to die in auto-combat, I imagine it's because they have a self-destruct ability and the AI doesn't try to preserve them for you.
There are a lot of various buffs and debuffs, making the game harder to read not only at a glance, but also, you know, you need to do more reading now because you want to know how stuff works. While this is fine and not necessarily bad (even though I'd argue less is more in some cases), it creates so much visual clutter in big fights, with all the buff texts manifesting on top of each unit. When the AI does its battle turn, I visually have no idea about what's happening half of the time.
I will try to lower my graphics settings, I guess.

Finally, the music could be playing more often and be more of a soundtrack and less of an ambience sound.

While I focused this on the criticism in the hopes of giving feedback, this is the game I would recommend in the series along with Age of Wonders 2: it's great, fun, and the support it's getting from the developers is more than one would hope for in this modern era. You WILL have great unlimited fun even with just the base game.

This is a fishing adventure you gotta play with headphones on and that's all I recommend you know before playing it.
But otherwise read on.

The sound design is very good.
The visuals are reminiscent of PS1 fishing games with better models and no drawing distance limitations.
The game actually reminds me of Let's Go Flyfishing on the PS1 with the adventure element.

I've enjoyed the game very thoroughly, the only criticism I have is that I would have liked to have a reward (true ending or something) for having caught all fishes.

And I guess having a bait on sale that goes as deep as the mourning stone would be good.

This is a very dying genre, I hope it goes well and more games like it come out.
At 5 bucks or whatever it's a no brainer.

Pros:
- Voice acting is 10/10, they did a great job on that one and it feels just like the (nickelodeon) cartoon, which is a good one.
- Animations are nice.
- Boss fights are fun and challenging, on Hard mode.

Cons:
- Boss fights are slow and easy, on Normal mode.

- Game levels have a poor, shallow design where you just go to the next objective and start the random-quest "kill all enemies" or "defend this spot" or "bring x to y", which gets old after 5 minutes. The levels are seriously bad, expecially the sewer ones. You eventually reach the stage boss which is the fun part, I guess.<
Well, ok, I had fun with the Megakrang stage. But still.

- Difficulty balance is very bad. If you enjoy playing on hard like I do, this game is gonna get tediously annoying and completely not fun by the time the only enemies are rock soldiers. In fact, all difficulty does is increasing enemy HP, decreasing yours, and giving you 1 less continue. Which is fine, mind you, it's just not cool when it's designed so poorly that it will take you forever to kill a bunch of rock soldiers in a quest on a later stage on hard mode.
You might argue you need to level up to play hard mode, but that's not it.

- Music is just bad, boring, repetitive. It gets kinda exciting during boss fights, but that's it.

- Ok what the heck is wrong with the character design? haha, with the exception of raphael, every turtle's face makes you wanna punch them. Just look at Donatello's face, he has that round nose thing that just kills the mood.

Conclusion: I am a TMNT fan (who isn't?) but this game feels lazy and rushed. If the stages were actually good, and the missions any fun, and if it was designed/balanced properly, then it would've been a good game. A very, very good game in fact.

(written in Arstotzkan english)

You will think this is boring paperwork.
It is not.
It is great Passport RPG.

Won this at giveaway having given it only couple of glances before.
Was immensely surprised not only by humor(!), but also by how world and atmosphere are fleshed out in details.
Also has great replayability.
I don't know how much it costs but is well worth it.

(I wonder how purposedly broken are the localizations)

The game is great and well done if you like the genre, I just can't play it because of terrible performance (fps drops) because--Flash.
There might be a fix but at some point I stopped trying.
I'll update this if I do fix it.
Grabbed it at Halloween sale for dirt cheap so I wasn't too bummed (I'd have kept trying to fix it otherwise).
Go get the sequel instead, I think that one runs better.

Bought this when MMO Sim update came out to do a 24h livestream of it.
1hr and a half in, I realized it was Goat MMO Simulator and not Goat Simulator MMO.
I ain't even mad,

Set everything to minimum ("Fastest" and "Minimise FX"), otherwise it is unplayable due to graphical effects and poor FPS/optimization.
Do that, and it's a very good game.
