Definitely game of century if they manage to solve the terrible plot conclusions and polish up ACT III. Lots of missing content for companions. I still don't quite agree with the plot changes related to the tadpole and The Emperor compared to the Early Access versions. Using Illithid powers just felt too rewarding to ignore. Murderous Evil route is incredibly unrewarding and seems to just lock you out of a lot of content. There's a lot of unpolished animations in the cutscenes of the last fight. Lighting was at it's worst point there.

You could definitely tell they were trying to beat Starfield's release date with all these cuts.

Also, please make gathering your allies make sense. Their current implementation in the last parts did not have a good pay off other than a cheesy rallying scene. Really wish there were more cutscenes where they actually do something and/or impact the battlefield that directly helps you without calling them in.

Felt like I just wasted my effort gathering allies because of their lack of presence overall. Bioware used to be really good at making these things pay off.

Hoping definitive edition would pick up the slack at some point after you guys get your long deserved vacation. Adding in Avernus and Upper City salty about this because they said it would be in the game before it released would also be nice.

Other than that ACT I and II are really well made and polished minus the illusion of choice in dealing with Ketheric.

All in all still very much worth at base price. Highly enjoyed myself and I'm glad to be playing another one of Larian Studios' entry. You guys just keep getting better and better.

the only fps that's gotten me engaged in the past few years

totally wasn't expecting to get into this game considering the typical genres i like. can't speak for the faithfulness of this game to the books but seeing as the author went as far as to cameo as cantor in the game i guess they must've done a great job. very surprised with the production quality that went into making this game. the fact that i've never even heard about it anywhere until i saw it in humble bundle baffles me.

It's a trial and error type of rpg that punishes you for each and every death you inevitably stack. If you're looking for something that'll help your anger management, then this is the game for you. Also, never look at the wikis or walkthroughs no matter how stuck you are; they spoil 99% of the 'fun'.
