Take vampire survivors excellently done simplicity and ruin it, you get this game.

It still has those moments where everything comes together but getting their will have you using abilities that are garbage which then leads you to grinding for upgrades to that ability, which then leads you to repeating the same process with another ability that turns out to be garbage as well, which eventually leads into finding a good ability but now your pool of abilities is filled with garbage you don't want to use so getting the good abilities requires grinding restarts instead of having fun.

Theirs no way to respec either so your stuck with what you choose unless you wipe your save, its literally one of the most basic and fundamental things to have when the game has an extensive skill tree.

Its fundamentally a good game but its current gameplay, mechanics and functionality are for the most part inferior to games similar to it.

Dont Buy

1st hour of progress? gone because i was disconnected from the game whilst playing on my own.

Want to use the escape key? your gonna get annoyed, why? because the menu appears on RELEASE of the key. So you can be in the menu and go to exit and go straight back into the menu.

Want to do the first campaign menu in the list? Good Luck because the mission takes place in a red danger zone, which was annoying to complete.

Fired all your ammo and want to sprint away? You cant, you cant sprint when your weapon is empty because the auto reload always takes precedent over sprinting.

Complete a mission? weapon progress reset, nice.

Dont Buy

Permanent Overdrive Cheat + Infinite Ammo Cheat, Super Shotgun Only, Nightmare Difficulty.

Ive sunk 65 hours or so into this game over the time its not been on steam, played several other lewd RPG maker games and none of them compare to TLS. Ive even found the characters, story, world, etc, to be far superior to many non-lewd games.

Im personally not a huge fan of RPG maker itself and have no interest in the combat in the game, so that is a small negative in an otherwise amazing game, but the combat is also a fairly frequent thing that can get tedious after a while. There are save editors available that can modify a surprising amount of things, so dont be afraid to use them to get the results you want from the huge amount of decisions, politicising, warring and courting you will be doing.

The open world parts of the game can be somewhat directionless and tedious, and it only gets worse as more locations are made available to traverse, but it isnt mandatory to travel to every location constantly and their are small things added to previously visited locations from time to time, which i personally enjoy a lot despite my opinion about the open world.

The game has no mouse support and certain features of RPG maker are awkward to use if you are unfamiliar with it, the F key options for example, but these issues are inherent to the version of RPG maker TLS uses and are in no way detrimental to the game.

In conclusion, for the incredible price of free, i was honestly expecting it to cost something simply because of the quality the game has which i would have been perfectly fine with buying it as i have previously supported the creator on several occasions via patreon, you should really play this game.
