Finally! A well deserved first DLC! Keep it up Eleon!

9 years of development with 0 DLCs up until this point is unique and it was about time we got something to bit our teeths into!

You're looking for a game filled with variated content and long play time per campaign? Well then Crusader Kings II is right up your alley.

Summary
The game's DLCs unlock a lot of playable new cultures, religions, mechanics and game overhauls, but for a price.
The game comes with a good extreme amount of vanilla content to make your campaign into remarkable adventure.
The game's community is a typical Paradox community with an loyal modding community with extreme high quality content.
The game is a great concept for friends and communities due to its character system and personalized realms and wars.
The game's DLCs amount is a problem and a challange for students, children or adults with limited economy.

Description
It combines the typical modern perspective and political athmosphere of the medieval period as a you strive to endure the ever changing political landscape of the known medieval world.

Pick your starting date between 1066 up to 1337 where as any date in between can be customizable picked and play as a Christian ruler all over Europe, from Byzantium to London and if you buy the character design DLC - play as any ethnical, religious personalized ruler that follows any of the hundred different heresies that exists of each religion! So maybe you wish to recreate the Hellenistic Roman Empire with a Imperial Dynasty of Chinese overlords? Well then, this game makes that possible!

The start date can also be set all the way back to the year of 867 with the Old Gods DLC or 769 with the Charlamagne DLC making Crusader Kings II the game with the longest play time of any Paradox game. As the Charlamagne DLC gives you the start date of the year 769, a total of 586 years to reach the end date of the year 1333! This means that one campaign from the start to finnish can easily entertain you for a month at the time if you're a casual gamer.

Multiplayer is fantastic with friends or your community! The game's focus on character, politics and intrigue gives you a never ending theatre as you never know what your friends might do next to overthrow your rule or conquer your lands, while secretly your friend were behind your back - killing every single member of your royal dynasty to spectate as your kingdom falls into civil war as your new character is a boy king of the age of 2! Because who is ever loyal or scared of a baby?

Crusader Kings II comes thu with some weaknesses for you who're the Crusader without any DLCs and this weakness is just that, the amount of possibles DLCs. Crusader Kings II was the first game to be released in, what were back then in 2012, the new Clausewitz 2.5 game engine. Since then Crusader Kings II has been in constant development alongside new games like Hearts of Iron 4, Stellaris and Imperator: Rome. This has resulted that you as a customer have the possibility to continue playing Crusader Kings II with fresh new content being delivered and produced minimum once per year and if you're completly new as a customer, this also gives you a opportunity to over time, expand and explore new content and new possibilities within the game itself.

The huge library of DLCs is on the other hand also a problem due to its massive cost, but if you're willing to pay for content that has taken over 6 years to design and code, then this is and will be, worth your money, if you can afford it.

It's a great game, hard, dynamic with tons of content and variation.

No match is the same and every unit has its history and part to play.
